I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

I'm glad Jill & John get to go in April, and I hope it's low drama.

Katie, I see you got the green light from your hubby - yea!!

I'm able to go in December as well!! My brother will be around so I can go to Orlando. :thumbsup2

Now I'm making fajitas & watching the football game :cheer2:

I feel for Jill. Mine is the opposite. The one that causes drama is my Father-in-law, but he doesn't mean well majority of the time. Luckily, he doesn't like WDW and won't be going so I don't have to worry about that. My in-laws took my husband once when he was little and my FIL refuses to go back. Good for me and my parents though. :cool1:

We have to find a way to do something for Jill while she is down there with the Monster-in-law. We will have to put our heads together in March.....

I am so excited about spending my birthday in Nashville! Maybe I'll just do a banana dance!

We were talking about you, actually. We said how we like it when our friends are there, and how nice it was to get pictures from people while on trips. You've got the next shift, it seems, in keeping us hanging in. :thumbsup2 I need to line up about five more people to get me through until March 20th. Once March hits, there should be a lot of activity among DISers.

I am so excited to have that "next shift" and to be able to send you pictures! There should be a good amount between Katie and I on Facebook, too - we have all day the Saturday I arrive, most of Sunday, and hopefully Friday morning. My only request was that we go to MK that Saturday night because I want to see Wishes. Tomorrow we're out of the teens and Thursday will be the single-digit dance!

Hahaha.....oh Jill!!! I feel for you. I mean, I really, really, REALLY feel for you! We all know all the drama I have had to go through. I am gonna get us a shirt made that says, We Survived trips with the MIL!!! Oh, even better...we should make a club! ;)

Hey Memom and Jill

Just catching up again after not being around awhile - work got in the way!!

Firstly - sorry to hear about your friends and their families and the troubles they are going thru - love and prayers abound.

Love Bella with the patch - it is so CUTE.

Brooklynn is a real hula girl - love seeing her enjoying something so simple.

That parade was wonderful - never heard of it before and never seen photos on any of the trip reports I' ve read before. Those carts were just wonderful - arent they clever. I love the Minnie golf cart.

Jill - good luck with the newly planned trip - I was secretly hoping you would end up somehow gettng to DL in June when we would be there - never mind.

My one day plan after this trip is to do the WDW for Xmas/New Year - but that would be a couple of years away as have to save up (or really pay this trip off - knowing my shopping history)

Hope you are all well - would love to join you in Nashville in July - perhaps I could get lost in June and "go on the run" Unfortunately the wheelchair would probably be a dead set giveaway!!!:rotfl2:

Be well

:sad1: Bummer about just missing.
I would like to ask for prayers for the family of one of my former managers at work. He was killed in a small plane crash this weekend. Very shocking and unexpected. didn't know him very well, he worked during the day and I work overnight, but extra prayers for his family would be appreciated.

Me, too. If they are going to spend all that money to go, I hope it will be mostly magical. :wizard:

This will be a one-time thing, I would guess. Next time MIL mentions Disney World, I feel like Jill and John will suggest she can share future happiness with one of John's siblings. ;)

So you are thinking something like having messages everywhere they go for her to report to Guest Services or Front Desk or such? While she is doing that, the others can go ride things without craziness. :thumbsup2

Now, we are just being mean.....

but if Jill gives the word after they get down there and sees how it is going, we should be ready. :goodvibes

I hope a lot of people can make it in July, but it is a holiday weekend, so that will be a factor, I'm sure.

Have you heard any more about Spectro coming back this spring? I was hoping it would be back in March, but now I will be happy enough it it comes back in April, so Jill can see it. I juat want it back - period.

Oh, the stories you can tell! We need you to come to Nashville to be our dinner entertainment in July!

The King cupcake looks great. Is it available at POP only?

As far as I know, yes. Someone else can chime in, if they have seen it elsewhere.

Glad you had time to catch up. We are alway happy when we can show our DIS friends new WDW things. :thumbsup2

Hope that Christmas/New Year happens for you. :santa:

Yeah, I am thinking a runaway wheelchair might be caught pretty quickly.

You absolutely will have thoughts and prayers coming your way.

Loved the golf cart parade! I hadn't heard about that before, but we have been over to Fort Wilderness a few times and it seems like people staying there are always finding ways to have fun! The girls have enjoyed seeing people's garden ornaments, and if we ever head to WDW for Christmas we'll be heading over to see everyone's displays :thumbsup2

Hope Jill can find a good balance between sharing WDW with the in-laws and sneaking off on her own! My in-laws are ok on the whole, but we only ever holiday together for short trips and even then I make sure I find excuses to take time out ;) Bath time and bed time were good opportunities to get away - and when I was nursing that was good too! Perhaps Jill can volunteer to go ahead for FastPasses, etc!

:cool1: How long will you have away?

I'm thinking it'll be Dec 30-Jan 4. My arrival date just depends on flight times, costs of rooms, etc. I'll for sure leave by that Monday the 30th but might the weekend before if the flights are good.

There is such a nice relaxing atmosphere there. I would love to stay in one of the cabins, but I would want two bathrooms or at least a bath and a half.

Jill will do plenty of strategic planning, I feel sure. She will go above and beyond to make sure it has the optimal conditions for being good for everyone. We'll see how well the MIL goes along with that plan.

All caught up.

The golf cart parade looks like so much fun.

You are doing a great job resort hopping and keeping busy without park passes.

I know there is a path from CBR to POP since the ME bus sometimes takes it.:ssst: but I did not know it was CM only. Hmmmmmm

YAY for Jill getting a trip in April but I will say a little prayer for her in dealing with MIL. ;)

When the parade ended, we made our way further on into the campground.

Brooklynn wanted to ride a pony.

EndofSummer2012WDW252.jpg

This would be her last ride, as she was just a centimeter under the height requirement.

Here's the cowgirl!

EndofSummer2012WDW255.jpg

At that point, pictures stopped, as I had to walk her around the pathway. It's a short walk, but fun for the kids, since horseback riding is not an everyday activity for most of them.

Random plant pictures.

How interesting, we go over to FW to go to Trails End Buffet every trip, but I have never been to the barns...might have to mosey on over next trip.

Hope you are enjoying your day off. Justin has a busy week ahead...midterms, band rehearsal and concert and musical rehearsals...such is the life of a high-schooler :)

The day's activities.

EndofSummer2012WDW280.jpg

While we were shopping, a big hunk of chocolate fell of Brooklynn's Mickey bar. I went to the counter to get a paper towel to wipe it up, and the cast member came to take care of it. She insisted that Brooklynn get a brand new bar, since she has lost out on a big chunk of that delicious chocolate.

Thus, there is a picture of an already chocolate-lathered girl with a brand new Mickey bar. :goodvibes

The famous Lawnmower Tree.

EndofSummer2012WDW282.jpg

And now, something to surprise you.....

Brooklynn wanted to take a picture of me.

EndofSummer2012WDW283.jpg

(By the time we walked over to the playground, Brooklynn was much more interested in playing than eating, so I helped her out.)

EndofSummer2012WDW284.jpg

She enjoyed playing and made fast friends, of course.

That's it for today. I am off for the MLK holiday. I did my chores - grading a bunch of papers, and now I have enjoyed hanging out at Fort Wilderness a while. What did you do with your day off, if you had one?
