I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

It's funny you said you were trying to stay away from the stores to save your money for Disney...I said the same thing to my DMom this morning.
She laughed and said I couldn't do it...we will see...my secret Ebay purchase today does not count. :lmao: shhhh!

I read on a post that Walgreens has cute Mickey & Minnie scarecrow decorations.
Have any of you seen them? That may cause me to break my no shopping vow if they are too cute to pass up. :rolleyes1

I hope Jill has the energy to entertain her sister in law this weekend.
Maybe they will eat out and she will have one less thing to worry about. :goodvibes

In the same breath, you say no shopping, but then you talk about checking out Disney decorations...

I will not go to Walgreens, even though I could easily walk to ours. They are known for having cute Disney things, but I'd rather have something from the real Disney World, since I'm so close to being there.

I don't know how thrilled she is about the whole thing, but they rarely see John's siblings, so she'll be a gracious hostess and do her best. I think they're going to Brooklynn's soccer game tomorrow, and then they'll probably go eat and then go back to the house to play for a while. I think they are leaving tomorrow evening.

I think Brooklynn and John rode Barnstormer maybe three times. The rest of us found a nice rock wall to sit on and watch fireworks.

After fireworks, we decided to keep going....

and we decided to do it

going around

and around

and around.

Bella and I (we'll call ourselves the Non-Spinners) rode together, and Brooklynn and John (the Super Spinners) rode together.

This is Brooklynn taking a break from the spinning.

And that was the end of that Disney day.

Jill, since you were having company, I loaded the next set I had from this SD card. You can take over when it is time to go to the second card.

Ahh, yes the Walgreens scarecrow's.... I have a picture of them I will post as soon as I can get it loaded to photobucket....it's not cooperating for me tonight!!! It won't upload????

Love the fireworks pictures. We caught them in Fantasyland in 2009. It was different, they seem closer but you didn't get the great effect of them framing the castle. I prefer seeing them from the front, but in a crunch I'll get them anyway I can.

Sometimes a quiet weekend of just staying home is just what you need. We watched Snow White and Huntsman and ate homemade pizza. Tomorrow is my hair day, birthday party for niece and the LSU game. We won't be going but will be watching it from home. Sunday might be a trip to New Orleans to go to the zoo or aquarium. I'm tired just writing all that.:crazy2:

You are so brave to go on the teacups! I don't seem to tolerate the spinners well any more. A sign of old age? :confused3

You have me intrigued with that tease about the new play area at the Dumbos. There will be so much new and amazing, I might need a couple of days just to get my fill of the new Fantasyland. Also intrigued by the idea of wine at dinner at Be Our Guest. Very French!

Weekend is full! Tonight, DD was off to a surprse birthday party (now she wants one!), while DH & I tried a new restaurant in town (meh). Tomorrow morning, farmer's market and voice lesson, then Mom's birthday lunch :cake:, then pick up the old computer from the shop (just a $160 fix :crazy2: Next time: :badpc:). Sunday after church, Nemo 3D! All the while, praying for Stasieki's friend and her family and giving thanks for my own family.

Happy Weekend, all!

Haha I love that you guys have designated "spinner" cups! I used to love the teacups, but I haven't been on them in years! DF can't tolerate spinning rides (not even Dumbo!), so there's NO way I'll ever get him on these!

Hope everyone enjoys their weekends!

I am always up for a spin on the teacups! In fact, there is a story from this summer about those teacups, but I will save it.

:rotfl2:....I know! I seem to have a slight addiction to shopping for anything Disney. ;)

Yes! I would love to see them. Its about an hours drive to my nearest Walgreens in the US. I would make the nice Sunday drive if I just had to have them.
And that would mean more shopping too....

Just realized it's 3 more weekends after this one til we are in WDW!

I will text you and see what you plan for the morning of the 13th.
Barnstormer quickly became a favorite with Harper too on that trip. Baylor was so kind to indulge her riding over and over again!
I think he might have done that on another night with another little girl as well!

I keep saying, 'I will not go to Walgreens. I will not go to Walgreens.'
Wonder if I am telling the truth? ;)

We watched them from the old Dumbo before, and WOWSER! They are loud from there!

It has been a quiet day here. I have done some housework and some schoolwork. Right now, I have a youtube video of Samantha Brown at Aulani running. I looked it up for my school guidance counselor, as she is going there on Wednesday. Her son is getting married there, and she is beyond excited for the trip!

Brooklynn had a big day at the DIStown soccer field. She scored 6 goals! :cheer2:

Spinning doesn't bother me...yet, although I prefer slow spinning to fast spinning.

Farmer's Market - I'm coming with you!!!

Haha I love that you guys have designated "spinner" cups! I used to love the teacups, but I haven't been on them in years! DF can't tolerate spinning rides (not even Dumbo!), so there's NO way I'll ever get him on these!

So far, I am fine with spinning. I just don't care one way or the other about going fast, so it was best for me to go with Bella and John to go with the crazier spinning girl. It's interesting what bothers different people. Like some people can't do Soarin' because of the height, or the feel of the height. I am sure glad heights don't bother me at all. The one ride I will likely never do is Mission:Space because of the 'closed in' factor. I did the submarine ride many, many ears ago. I will not do that again, should it ever return.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekends!

We will look forward to your story. :goodvibes

Yes, ma'am - three more! Not long at all!

Okay. Like I said, it just depends on what happens on the last night. If we stay out and paint the town, then we sleep in and gather up slowly, keeping stuff in the room until around the 11:00 mark. If we have had an early last night, we are more prone to pack it all up that night, check it into luggage services in the early morning, and hit a park for a few hours, knowing we won't have a room when we come back.

I'm sure that other little girl was in heaven with one of her best boyfriends and one of her favorite rides!

A new day dawned at Pop Century.

Today's plan was to hit Animal Kingdom and possibly go to DTD in the evening.

Next time: Kilimanjaro Safari

The one girl in the front of the picture of the meerkat area was there when we were there over Labor Day weekend. Also, I have never noticed that big Hidden Mickey in the sidewalk. I'm definitely going to have to look for it now.

I could watch the gorillas forever!

I've never noticed the hidden Mickey in the sidewalk. Where exactly were you?

Every time I see the workers in Animal Kingdom, I think I would like to trade jobs for them for a trial run. ;)

They are fascinating. It can get kind of scary whe the bachelor males go at each other. We've seen that a time or two. One time, they even had the trail blocked off because there was some kind of upset going on between some of them.

I'm pretty sure that Mickey is over by the tables close to Kusafiri. We sit and eat snacks there sometime.

Have fun!!!! My brother did marching band in high school and now is in his last year of college marching band. He wants to be a band director. :goodvibes

Thanks, they looked pretty good for the first competition of the year. I see your avitar -go blue - does your brother go to OSU? Hope he finds that directors job :thumbsup2

We all still love Barnstormer...although we no longer can sit together :rotfl2:

I can spin- dumbo, astro orbitor- but not tight spins- teacups, mission space. We did mission space on its official opening...it was not pretty.

It looks like a gorgeous day in Knoxville and UT is holding on to that lead...hope Trent and his friends had a great day !

I've never seen that hidden Mickey either. Something new to look for.

I love all the learning opportunities at Disney parks, especially when the kids don't realize they are learning.

Love the nighttime pics of Dumbo.:thumbsup2

We love walking the trails at AK. I take more pictures there than any other park.

I got a cute Mickey & Miinie head light up Halloween decoration at Walgreens this week. I have it on right now.:goodvibes I love those scarecrow decorations though & they were not at Walgreens so I will need to check CVS.
