I can write songs, but I'd rather have someone else sing them. I also write the music to my songs.

I find it's better to write the music before the songs. That way you can get the feel of it, and write lyrics that fit the sound.

I dunno, I just find that easier than writing lyrics, then trying to write music that fit those lyrics.

I have a hard time doing this. I have to write the words, and then the way teh words come out is how the music will be. But I was a poet long before a song writer, and in poetry, rythem comes after words. and that is how I write songs, too.

I love music! (Thats why I'm going to college for it) I play many instruments, but mainly:

Piano (Been playing for 11 years now)
Drums (Started when I was 12)
Guitar (Been playing for 7 years)
And a slew of other random instruments.

But, my favorite thing to do is arrange, write, mix and produce music. If anybody else likes to do this, and is serious about it you should check out this school (www.fullsail.com) This is the school I go to. There are degree programs from Recording Arts, to Film, to Digital Media and Game Design. Its also awsome because its 25 minutes from Disney World! If anybody has any questions about it, I would be more then happy to answer them.

Yes and No. I turned on some 80's music at the dance and all the 7th graders were like "***???:" me and my 8th grade friend were like "They wear Ramons and Rolling Stone shirts but dont like 80's music?"

I hate that. I see kids wearing Motley Crue and Van Halen shirts, but one, they probably couldn't name 5 songs from either band, and two, once you hit like, Skid Row, Quiet Riot, and Poison, they are like..."What?".
