When using a snack credit;

do you also get a drink with your snack?

I read that it needs to be under $4 - is that for just a snack, or under $4 total for both a snack and a drink (if that's possible with Disney prices)?

Thanks for your help. :sunny:

Each item uses a separate snack credit. You can use the credit to buy either food or drink. We were there in the very hot period a couple of weeks ago. We sometimes used a snack credit for food items (OK I admit it, for ice-creams) but most often used them to buy drinks like smoothies or frozen lemonade or fruit cups. If we wanted cheaper drinks like water we mostly paid OOP as it seemed a bit of a waste of a $4 credit to buy a bottle of water which only cost $2. We also used a credit to buy the large bottles of milk from the hotel shop which were much better value than the little cartons in the food court.

The best way it was explained to me by the CMs during my recent visit:

1 snack credit for any single item (not mutiple items) meant for a single person and less than $4

Most places in the park have a symbol next to them as a snack. If there's something you want <$4 and it's not marked, just have them check at the register to see if it rings up as a snack. The computer registers are the final judge.

While in Ft. Wilderness there were full-large bags of chips and boxes of a dozen donuts less than $4. The CM at the register said they wouldn't count as snacks since they weren't meant for a single person. GUESS WHAT? ... the register rang them up as a snack and I was good to go!

When all else fails, just let the CM check how it registers in the system

....just the snack, ma'am...

one item, one snack credit.

When we were at WDW in early October we used some of our snack credits at the breakfast at our resort, POR. My DD's8 would get a two boxes of cereal and one milk to share (3 snack credits). We would also get fruit cups at our resort and things from the bakery. We didn't have to buy any meals on our trip by using our snack credits in this way. :wave:

Okay, got it. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! - and Delaware Mike, you are so polite to call me ma'am, but boy, it makes me feel OLD! :rotfl:

Unless you are on the platinum package where a snack = drink and food item, DDP snack means 1 item, could be food or drink.

Some CS restaurants will give you milk if you buy cereal with a snack credit. ASK don't just take a carton of milk. They may give you a small carton or might just pour milk over your cereal for you.
