I DO NOT need my iPod Touch acting up the day before I leave

I got to work today and the iPod would not play my podcasts or any music when I tried to initiate it from the music buttons at the bottom of the screen. It wouldn't even play the podcast I stopped in the middle when I tried to press the play button. I am going to take it home and sync it up, but I am NOT happy right now. Thank goodness I have my old iPod that I have been syncing regularly for my music. And thank heavens the other apps are working, especially the Kindle and iCal. Fingers crossed the sync kicks it in gear.

Mine did the same thing $398 and it won't work...how do you reboot it?

Press and hold Sleep/Wake button and Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Thanks everyone. The iPod is less than a year old and I think I bought the protection plan. Now I have the Apple logo on the screen, what next?

AAARRRGGGGHHHH. Now it is just cutting off in the middle of a podcast. It went for a while then it started stopping all on its own. I better make sure all my ADR numbers are in hard copy before I leave. Then back to the Apple store with this when I get home.

Mine stops and freezes quite a bit, everytime rebooting it works. You can sometimes tell there is an issue if your podcast pictures are all black and white. If you see this reboot it before you start listening.

The first time mine did this I totally paniced too.

Yea, mine is less than a year old also...and it will work a few minutes and then stop...I am sick of it...taking it to the Apple store.

We had one where the dial went. Apple online return was great. Within a week we had a brand new one sent to us. no charge to us.
