As many of you may know, the midwest got hit with a lot of snow this weekend. We didn't get it nearly as badly as some, but the weekend was a cold, snowy mess.
So one of my employees comes into my office this morning to ask for time off. I approved her request and then she says, "How are you doing?" (I am pregnant and a few weeks from due). I reply that I am fine, thank you, and she says:
"I thought about you this weekend because of the full moon, but then I realized that no one would want to have a baby in this weather, so I figured you wouldn't."
Um...okay. As if I could make the deliberate choice to stop labor because it was too snowy outside. I woke up Sunday and said, "You know, I was going to go into labor today, but since it's so cold, I think I'll wait."

IF only it were that easy. Reminds me of something moronic DH said when I was pregnant with my 2nd baby. We had talked about me getting my tubes tied while I was in the hospital but I mentioned that I really didnt want to have surgery right after giving birth. DH (a fireman and trained EMT) said "well while they're up in there why dont they tie them then". HUH? While they are "up in" where? The doctor doesnt reach in and GET the baby (I had a normal delivery not a C-section) the baby comes to the doctor.
