Alright, I know this is kind of funny for a thread :rotfl: , but I just wanted to say that we didn't see Mickey Mouse till today and we first went to a park on 9/25.

It took us till the morning of today at the Big Hat that we finally seen Pluto, Goofy, Donald, Minnie or Mickey in person! :rotfl2:

I guess they are rare now, the line was longer than the line for The Great Movie Ride! :rotfl:

Then we seen more Mickey at Fantasmic!.

Hopefully at AK tomorrow I can get my picture taken with Mickey Mouse, the line was about 20 minutes wrapped around the entire hat!

Just wanted to share this.

The best place to get Mickey is in the Character Connection at Epcot! We saw Mickey & Minnie (together), Donald, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip & Dale with only about a 2 or 3 minute wait for each! It was great!

You can catch a lot of the classic Disney characters (along with others) outside City Hall in the MK. Also, if you can check the daily schedule of the park to find out when and where the characters will be. If you have any questions and you are looking for a character stop and ask a CM. They can call and let you know where your character will be.

You can usually get Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and a few princesses at Toontown in MK if you get there when they open (10am).

I don't know if it is a change in policy or just the hot weather, but character sightings in September were much rarer than they were on our last trip in January 2005. I don't blame them for keeping the characters out of the heat, but we were at the World for 7 days and my girls got less than half as many autographs as they did 18 months ago on a 5 day trip.

That seems odd. On my last trip, I think I saw Mickey out more than any other character and spotted him at least once in every park. He's usually indoors though (Toontown, Character Connection, Mickey Ave. Soundstage).

I also sense the same thing - just not as many characters out as there used to be. And the characters that are out tend to be the super common ones - I felt every character location was turning into a Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale meet! :(
