Kanga - The way the CM explained to me today is this.....if it is a package and within the 45 day mark and you apply a discount to make the price go down you will have a $50 charge. If you are within 45 days and do something to make the price go up, they don't charge you.

I called this morning to price out what I had for the room only and how much for dining when it was added and the CM told me she only wanted to set me up with a hold on the room because the AP discounts will be out tomorrow!!

She was so nice, she explained that if I did the room and dining today and called to apply the AP discount tomorrow when it came out they would charge me $50 as the price of the package would be lowering. She was so nice and said she couldn't do that to me.

She also said that she noted we were staying at the WL and not to be surprised if that % off was lower than other resorts.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow!

Could someone clarify for me - if you add a discount (like a pin or an AP code) to an existing reservation and it is less than 45 days before arrival, you have to pay $50? That is the first I've heard of that.

I am already booked at CR with a 25% discount for late June. If the AP discount is greater (fingers crossed) can they just alter that same reservation? Room only, no package.

Yep! That's what I'm doing - do it all the time. They will apply the AP rate to your existing ressie. Make a call, save some money. Love it!

Yes, if it's room only they can adjust the rate and give you your new balance. At least that's if they haven't changed the process since I last booked room only.

Count me in on the fall watch Too I plan on visitling my DD in Oct. I have already bought the plane ticket!
I have to leave for work @ 7am so I cannot call. Hopefully I can get my DD up to do it for me. After all she is the reason we are going down in Aug!
She is in the fall CP and will spending the next 5 months in DISNEY!

Question for you all . We just returned from Disney and purchased AP's for my husband and 2 sons ages 13 and 5. we are visting again in December so we though it was worth it.
My question is this.... I do not have an AP but I am looking a taking my sons back in July also. My husband might not be able to make it in July.

Since I do not have an AP would we still qualify for any AP discount since my 13yo's AP ticket is the same cost as my husband AP tkt?
I may end up getting one anyway but I still have alot of days left from non-expiring tkts.

I'm not seeing anything online on the passholder site yet. Are the discounts typically available by calling before the site is updated? Or has nothing been released yet?
I am pretty sure we won't be using a PH discount for our trip but I was curious how it all works
