So I purchased my familys park tickets direct from disney and noticed that if i picked a few days before we got there the price was cheaper. We are going Dec 11-17 if I bought tickets starting the 11th for that day they were like 96$-97$ each but when I did the 8th as the starting date it was 92$ The tickets say they cover the 8th-16th which is fine since the last day we wont be going to the park.

Did I do this right?

As long as it is valid for the dates you intend to use them, you're good! And as you discovered, sometimes it is cheaper to buy them starting a few days before you plan to use them ::yes::
