The electric windows, etc usually come as part of an upgrade package (i.e. you want power windows??? then you have to buy the "xyz" package that has the cruise control and map lights...)
If there's anyway I can, I'm going to try to get my next vehicle WITHOUT the power windows - they're terribly expensive to have fixed...and when you run into snow and ice like we do and you hit the button in error and the window's frozen, then you burn your motor out......I know that when I bought my van, if I wanted air-conditioning, then the block heater and electric windows were part of the "package".....and this past week, my air conditioner knows it's my best friend....
DH works for a parts department for one of the "big three" and his mantra is "The more bells and whistles on a vehicle, the more there is to go wrong" - he sees what parts go out a lot, and I get a yearly lecture on making sure my wipers are stuck to the windshield in the winter before I turn them on so I don't burn out my wiper motor.....
