I have a very unPC sense of humor but still caan't comprehend how you could look at a cute little toddler and dump a rock in his/her bag. Like others have said, if I found a rock in my DC's bag, I'd be angry. I'd think, "What a jerk!" or something else I can't type here!

My kids are weird... they would have thought it was really neat to find a rock in their bags. Especially if it was a nice rock! Like maybe a bit of polished marble or pink granite.

Maybe the OP should have used nail polish to paint scary faces on them, or something... Then it would have been a "pet rock".

I am so glad this got bumped--since i had never heard of this thread. It is a hysterical idea My kids have the same warped sense of hour I do and would have thought it was the funniest thing ever (at least by age 3 they would have gotten the Charlie Brown reference--we used to joke about rocks every time they got snickers because they think snickers are as useless as rocks )
