We purchased SSR, mostly for the backdated points and the extra 12 years. Oh, the lower MF don't hurt, either .

I have visited all of the DVC resorts, except for OKW and I feel like you can't go wrong anywhere.

Again, just to dang excited!!!

That's awesome! I hemmed and hawed about my recent purchase (just sent the docs back today!) - wasn't sure if I should go SSR or VWL. SSR looks great, and I'll probably stay there sometime, but I've got that "luuuuve" for the lodge... Can't deny it. (I got the 2005 points, too - nice surprise.)

Seriously, unnecessary! I don't live my life through rose colored glasses, but I don't live to rain on someone else's parade, either. I have researched this decision for well over a year and have taken so many factors into consideration. I am not sure what bug crawled up your behind, but please, I think we would all be happy if you took it elsewhere.

I am sure someone else is missing the "sunshine" you spread.

Believe me, I am absolutely thrilled with our decision and can't wait for our first trip home.

Thanks for the warm welcome and kind words. It means a lot that we will always have a place to call "home" whether the Navy has just moved us, again, or I am taking my boys b/c DH is off flying somewhere.

"Truth" had about 6 other posts last night, each any everyone a serious SSR basher. I only replied to the one on my thread. I just didn't want him bringing his negativity over to me . He basically said that SSR should be called "Disney's Overflow Property", that everyone who bought SSR must be wearing rose colored glasses, that this board was an arm of the DVC trying to push SSR and he doubted the validity of posts where people said that they bought SSR. Mysteriously, all those posts have now been removed. Either by the mods or by "Truth" himself.

Either way,it was bad Ju Ju and I didn't want anyone raining on my parade.

I am thrilled with our puchase and can't wait for our first trip "home"
