I... the one....the only....

OTTER SPOTTER....

Am now in the 21st century!!!

I converted my CD's to MP3's, set up an I-tunes playlist..... put my MP3's into it, downloaded to my new iPod..... and am now listening to my very all time favorite album of all times..

TOMMY BY THE WHO!!!

This is over the top GREAT!!! And I did it all by myself!!! Woo-Hoo!!!

Gotta go find me the Bose Ear Buds for a decent price - that will make the package complete!!!

Congrats Deb!! When you get a minute, or 45, maybe you can tell me how to do it!! :lmao:

Kelly - I used Ashampoo Music Studio 3 to convert my CD's to MP3's.

I set up Music folders on my C drive to import the MP3 files into. Once I converted some of my favorite albums, I plugged the iPod's USB into the computer & iPod, set up an iTunes account, clicked & drag the music folders over to the iTune, they automatically load into the iPod. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

You will need a separate program such as Ashampoo to convert your CD's. At least that's what I did. You may already have a similar program on your computer.

"She has got the power to heal you, never fear!!" Eyesight to the Blind, Tommy - The Who!!

If you are going to spend the money on Bose, you might as well do the noise canceling headphones. That was the best money I have ever spent!

(I never have had jetlag with those things either!)

Itunes will convert your CD's directly - you don't need another program.

Shat!!! NOW you tell me!!! Oh well....I learned something anyway. The EIGHTY PAGE instruction manual I downloaded said to convert CD's to MP3's.... I stopped with that & read no further. I'm a "glance & try" person, which sometimes gets me into trouble.

Once I dig out some more CD's, I'll try the direct appoach. Thanks, Jim!

Thanks, Jen. I still have headset hair from 25 years or so of wearing one. I get the creeps when I think of wearing one again, but I'll give these a gander.

Wait!!! Read on...... coverting to MP3's makes the file size smaller & you can get more on the iPod. There was no degredation of the sound, so if I can get more by converting the files, I guess I will.

I never read manuals. There's a reason why they don't provide one with the Nano.

Congratulations Deb - that's no small feat!!

Because my computer has absolutely no space on the hard drive (can't even save Word documents lately :scared1: ), I'm in the process of trying to organize and save all our pics (4 years worth!) to flashdrives to free up some space. Man oh man, I'm not sure if I'm "taking the scenic route" doing it, but it is VERY time consuming.

Oh well, I guess this will be a lesson to me. From now on I will organize and burn onto a cd or print hardcopies of my pics right when I upload them.

I remember those.....

I jsut bought a new iPod touch, i love that thing, it has wifi so you can watch youtube videos, has an app for itunes to get music directly, email, can even pay my bills and check my BofA account information.

Those sound neat. If I ever update my iPod, I'm going to look at those.
