I decided to book Discover Atlantis

I have posted before about being indecisive but I bit the bullet . It is my parents first time ever cruising so I know they may need to get off the ship because of sea sickness. The excursion starts at 11:15. My question is does anyone know where this excursion picks up ? Also, the ship docks at 8:30 . Is it possible to walk to the straw market prior to excursion . We didn't do any excursions on our first cruise so I am just wondering.

Just a note of consideration, when the ship is in port it's moored so there's barely any movement if any. So in ports they shouldn't have a sea sickness issue.

Yes .... I am aware of that . I am thinking they may want to get off after the evening of travels

Don't you have to take a ferry to Atlantis? Seems if getting off the water is the goal that kind of defeats the purpose...

It said on the excursion that you took a bus through the city.

Correction it said a 25 minute drive through historic Nassau. Then it states after your visit go back to the designated pick up point to begin the 15 minute drive back to the pier.

Ah, interesting. I didn't recall going under any bridges between that island and Nassau on my snorkel excursion.

We did the Atlantis aquadventure and it met on the dream (Buena vista theater). Meeting time and location will be printed on your excursion tickets delivered to your room on embarkation day. You follow the CM with the paddle of Power to your shuttle bus to Atlantis. It is about 20 minute drive and the driver gives a little tour on the way there and back. You can get off and go to the straw market before or after your excursion.
