I D Question

Hi, we are 2 brits doing a cruise in Sept, and are wondering about I D to get on/off the ship. Would our British drivers I D do as I understand we will have to hand our passports in on boarding or would a photocopy of the passport do.

We gave up our passports, never thought to offer a photocopy, safe keeping and all that!

The I D would be for ports on the cruise, not initial boarding.

You know longer have to hand in your passports at boarding. You get to keep them

That said, we use our drivers licenses (along with KTTW) to get back on board. Our passports (now that we get to keep them) stay in the safe. We do make a colored copy as well.
