I crashed the marathon expo

Even though I'm not running the Portland marathon tomorrow I did go to the expo today. I had read that Jeff Galloway would be there so I just had to go.

Man was I glad I went. He gave three different talks and it was just the information I needed to hear. The last talk was Jeff, Bill Rogers and Amby Burfoot doing a roundtable and answering questions.

What was even better was DH went with me and said he learned alot also and he may even start running with me instead of riding the bike.

I was able to spend about 15 mins with Jeff asking questions and getting some training advise. Also got a personal invitation to his running clinic. which I was already debating.

I was also able to get some training gear that I had been wanting at a discount since it was expo pricing.

This is the first expo I have gone to and I have to say they could be a bit expensive. I also signed up for another half marathon with DH encouragement.

Lucky you to have all three of those fabulous runners doing a round table discussion. I guess you will be frequenting more Expos! Enjoy your new running gear and good luck with your race.

It was great. Jeff did 2 one hour talks and the third hour was advertised as him and Bill but there was buzz early when someone saw Amby so the third hour was packed.

I'm afraid that I am going to have to adjust my "race" budget to account for the expo's.
