One month ago we started our 'All girl's Trip' to DL. Me, DD (9), Mother-in-law, My best freind and her two DDs (7&3). We loved the trip and enjoyed several very special moments. By far the best was when we were selected to be the Grand Marshals! What an amazing thing to do. We were GMs on May 20th, my Mother-in-laws birthday! We were given the signs that had hung on the car to bring home. We were so excited about everything!:thumbsup2 The signs were HUGE...way too big to fit in our suitcases as we had hoped. We went to UPS to mail them, but they were going to charge us over $150 dollars to mail them!!!:faint: Well, we went to the regular post office to mail them and with all the wrappings and postage it ended up being less than $25.

Now the bad part...we mailed them on the May 23rd and they STILL haave not arrived. Today is June 15th...way past when they should have arrived. I have no idea what to do next. I had it all planned out how I would display the signs and now...nothing.

Awww. I'm sorry to read this. Maybe they are just taking such a long time because they are so big? Hopefully they'll get there soon.

Hi...first you need to know how you mailed the package...was it insured? Did it have a delivery confirmation? Do you have the mailing slip showing you mailed it? Did it have your return address? I mailed a package that took over 21 days to arrive to its destination...they sent it to the wrong state :scared1: it went to a mailing clearing house and finally sent to the correct state...call USPS...make sure you have your paperwork from the mailing...
I was also told by USPS that mail is not considered lost until 15 working days after mailing...
Keeping my fingers crossed...it will show up..

 Oh no! I hope they get there soon!!! Mary Jo could be right, maybe it's taking long since they're so big!? Hope they get to you ASAP!

Thanks everybody for the words of encouragment. I found my receipt fo rthe post office and I will call in the morning. We had them mailed to my friend's home since she lives in the 'big' town and we just have a P.O. Box. I put my addy down as the return. Even if the label came off the sign says clearly on it---our name and town. I talked to our post master about the signs, he knows us by name...he is watching for it in case it comes to him. He will get in touch with us. I have not given up hope yet.

Large items can take a long time to mail. Call the PO tomorrow and ask them what to do. They will be able to help you. I hope you get them soon, when you get them all displayed take pics, I'd love to see!!

the post office works on a different clock. I use them a lot because of a home business. I mail hundreds of boxes a year. Almost 400 boxes between Sept and December. I have mailed individual boxes to the same person on the same day and had the boxes arrive on completely different days and weeks. So, your stuff will probably arrive when ever they feel like getting around to it. Seriously, it is in transit, but usps sucks. You will get your stuff. I have never had stuff not get there, just not on any real human time.
Congrats on being GM's though!

Sorry to hear about your woes. I have always had really good luck with DHL vs UPS or Fedex. Probably just me, but I have seen the fed ex guy throwing packages at my doorstep through the window and then walking away. :confused3

I could just cry for JOY now!!! Disneyland is going to replace our signs!!! :lovestruc :woohoo: :cheer2: I wrote some letters and included pphotos of us in the parade...today I got a call saying they are sending them and THANKED us for the letters!!! YEAH!!! Pixie dust really does work!!!:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Yay - that is great news:woohoo: Disney can really pull through sometimes!

Glad this turned out good in the end! USPS sucks. I've never had a good experience with them.

So glad they're replacing it!

I have a feeling it was sent parcel post, so it will take four to five weeks to get the ones you sent. When I was moving back from college, I sent everything back via parcel post and it took around five weeks to get back to me. Took forever, but what's a poor college graduate to do!

lilallbean, I just have to ask if you were the wonderful people we shared pixie sticks with in the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad line?
We talked about the fact that you were in the parade we had watched and
You gave us this really sweet business card!
Was it you?

Amen Wavy Blue! You don't know how much USPS sucks until they lose a $900 Louis Vuitton purse and then only reimburse you $500 (even though you paid for insurance on $900)

You were smart OP to contact Disney. They CARE, unlike the &^&*^@! post office.
