Just venting here, I went ahead and booked JetBlue for my upcoming December trip when the schedule came out a few months ago. At the time Continental was more expensive so I jumped on the JetBlue flight. Just to torture myself I checked Continental today and that flight is $120 cheaper then what I paid for Jetblue! Ugh I'm so annoyed!

Don't feel so bad--this kind of thing happens to everyone. Especially when you are are travelling in Dec., which is a very tricky time to book flights.

Word to the wise....After you've booked and made the committment, don't check around anymore! Only check if you're flying an airline that will give you a lower rate than what you booked at (SWA and JetBlue give credits).

DisneyGirl, you want to check JetBlue every day to see if your prices have dropped. Check each leg individually, not just the overall fare! If each leg of your flight was $199 when you booked ($398 total), you can still get a credit if your outbound flight drops to $99 while your return flight moved to $299 (same $398 total). In my example, you'd get $100 credit per ticket for your outbound flight if you called JetBlue. I'll often get more than one adjustment with JetBlue, so I check right up to the departure date. Good luck!

This is my first time traveling to FL in December so I guess, lesson learned! But thanks for the advice, I'll continue to ONLY check JetBlue and see if the fares change at all. Any $ I can get back would be a sweet bonus!

Our fare went down twice last year after I bought 4 tickets on Jet Blue. Each time I called and they re-booked us at the lower fare with no change fee and deposited the difference in my True Blue account! I love Jet Blue.
