for 80s pop music. I've been listening to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" (Thank you Alison. ) all day. Recently it's been Whitney Houstons "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" (not sure if that's 80s?) and Bananarama's "Cruel Summer". I've got "What is Love" by Haddaway on my iPod. I like to secretly listen to my mom's Boney M (alright that's 70s) and Snap. I've been known to La Bouche, Sir Mix a Lot, Culture Club, and George Michael. (I can't stand him though)

Someone commit me.

but whhhhyyy commit you?

lol i listen to ridiculous 80's everyday. now ive got "never gonna give you up" in my head.

I love 70s/80s/90s music.
50s/60s music is cool, too.

I love "Cruel Summer" by Bananarama!

I have a soft spot for 80's hair metal. lol
Wow I can't believe I just said that. hahah

I love music from past generations. While the 70's (Boston's self-titled album (most importantly, Foreplay/Long Time being the best song of the 1970's) being the best thing the past has ever created musically) and the late 50's are my favorite periods of the past in relation to music.

Some of my favorite 80's songs are Here I Go Again by Whitesnake, Fast Car by Tracy Chapman, Don't Stop Believin' by Journey, Eye of the Tiger by Survivor, I Just Called To Say I Love You by Stevie Wonder, Alone by Heart, Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler, Against All Odds by Phil Collins, Only You by Yazoo, Careless Whisper by Wham!, In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel, I Want To Know What Love Is by Foreigner, Islands In The Stream by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, Dancin' In The Dark by Bruce Springsteen, Gimme the Car by Violent Femmes, Love Shack by The B-52's, Missing You by John Waite, Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr, Wild Thing by Tone-Loc, Billie Jean & Thriller by Michael Jackson, This Charming Man, Hand In Glove, and Please, Please Please Let Me Get What I Want by The Smiths, Tom Sawyer by Rush, Paradise City by Guns N' Roses, Just A Friend by Biz Markie, With or Without You by U2, Hungry Like The Wolf by Duran Duran, FOOTLOOSE by Kenny Loggins (hahaha), Jack & Diane by John Mellencamp, Forever Young by Rod Stewart, I'm So Excited by The Pointer Sisters.

But my favorite artists/songs of the 80's were Chicago, Tom Waits, Eurythmics, The Smiths, Madonna, Thomas Dolby, NKOTB (New Kids on the Block), and Elvis Costello. Most importantly: Hard to Say I'm Sorry/Get Away & You're The Inspiration & What Kind Of Man Would I Be? by Chicago; Ruby's Arms & Tom Traubert's Blues (Four Sheets to the Wind in Copenhagen) by Tom Waits; You Got It (The Right Stuff) & Perfect Girl & Please Don't Go Girl & Hangin' Tough by New Kids On The Block; Here Comes The Rain Again by Eurythmics (but Annie Lennox's BEST song is No More I Love Yous...OH SO SAD); This Charming Man & Hand In Glove & Please, Please Please Let Me Get What I Want & Asleep by The Smiths; Europa and the Pirate Twins & My Brain Is Like a Sieve & Hyperactive! by Thomas Dolby; Open Your Heart & Borderline by Madonna; Veronica & I Want You by Elvis Costello.
What delicious songs.

haha, WHOA. I hella <3 the 80's obviously, hahaha.

Never Gonna Give You Up is impossible to get out of my head.
Thanks :P

i love 80's music!!! i watched 'the wedding singer' the other night. i love that movie. one of the best soundtracks, i think.

80's music is definitley the best.
Especially the hair bands, which I love a lot.

The 80's had amazing music - Eurythmics, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Thompson Twins, Cyndi Lauper....and the 80's hair bands (though I only remember half the band's by hair and not name haha).

The Eurythmics and Depeche Mode = LOVE!

On my sirius radio there's 40s/50s/60s/70s/80/90s stations and those are my faaaaaves. (especially 40s haha)

60's-80's music is the only music I can listen to continuously without wanting to shoot the singer. :P Music was really much better when it was influenced by drugs. xD
