All the talk about add-ons did a very bad thing to me. It made me think how every year my parents come with us and our lovely 160 points at SSR (which we LOVE) only allows us one trip in Jan. And why oh why did I agree to 2008 getting a GV - my points are disapearing FAST! :confused3

We would love to drive down in the summer and not even hit the parks too much - just swim and relax so I decided a tiny little itty bitty 100 points couldn't hurt.

So the next question is where to buy....

I love love LOVE SSR but I would like to have other options for a shorter trip too and besides since *everyone* who is an SSR owner wants to stay elsewhere I can always use my *other* resort's points should I wish to stay there twice :rotfl2:

SO I called my guide and had a chat...I want MK but I want CRV so VWL is out (don't want two in the same place). OKW is condo style and also DTD like my love SSR so nope.

I tried the old "sure wish AKL was DVC" and was told 2010 may make me happy (I can only hope this is the truth) grrrrr...no scoop for me.

Our favorite park is Epcot so it leaves BWV and BCV. We stayed at BWV and I was very dissapointed - nice pool but the drunks on the boardwalk ruined our stay.

So I turned to BCV - we stayed at the Yacht and while we did not like the hotel we loved the pool. When we were in WDW we walked through BCV and liked it well enough so BCV it is.

I am happily on the waiting list for 100 points at BCV. I am on my way to 460 points!!!! :Pinkbounc

So it goes like this:
2004 - SSR
2006 - BCV
2008 - CRV (hope hope!)
2010 - VAK (hope hope hope!)

I haven't caught addonitis yet, but I was wondering who told you that 2010 could result in VAK? Was it your guide?

So sorry to read about your affliction. It is becoming a problem of near epidemic proportion.

Is that a affliction or a addiction??? :rolleyes1
Hmmm, I may have to ponder that one for a while. :confused3

I checked the Abbreviations and did not see VAK on the list. What is it or did u mean AKL?

Whats a VAC?

I have not even gone my first DVC trip and I want to add on!!! :confused3 But I might have to find a new DH!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry to hear the disease has reached you. I've had it for a couple of years...and, no cure in sight!!! However, when we got our dues statement for this year...it ALMOST cured me, but not quite!! I am also on the WL for BCV points....let's hope they come in soon!!!

And, maybe...just maybe after this, I will be cured!!

I'm beginning to see that DVC is a serious illness not a timeshare package :rotfl2:

Is there a cure???

I think I may be catching it too... and it doesnt help that I just got this email yesterday, about BWV-

The enchanting elegance. The lively boardwalk atmosphere. The nostalgic charm of a bygone era. There are so many reasons Members wish they could have more of this lakeside locale.
And now you can—if you act soon.

As an owner of Disney's BoardWalk Villas, you're among the first to know about this opportunity to purchase an additional Ownership Interest. As of January 31, 2006, only 4500 Vacation Points were available in your Use Year. So hurry to stake your claim!

Ahh I will have add-onitis soon. I just can't afford addon-itis right now so that is a good thing.

However, I will start digging through my couch, get out a metal detector or whatever if a POLY DVC comes to light.

LOL I am on the OP's plan of adding 50 points every few years! Now if they'd only announce the next DVC!!!

I think VAK = Villa Animal Kingdom. They are wanting DVC to build villas connecting to the AK Lodge.
