I found the recipe for The Melting Pot's Fiesta Cheddar fondue on You Tube. It's actually endorsed by The Melting Pot. they're not selfish about their recipes, probably because you can watch them make it right in front of you so there's no big secrets. But on You Tube they actually give you the ingredients and explain it and everything.

I am finally recovered (I hope and pray!!) from a lengthy illness during which I could not eat and I lost weight. Now that I feel better, my appetite is back with a vengence! I went out to eat with my husband to the Melting Pot to celebrate and I fell in love with the Fiesta Cheddar (which is why I tried to find the recipe). I have since made it at home 3 times in one week. If I do say so myself, it tastes exactly like the Melting Pot kind! My husband came home today and saw me poised over the fondue pot, and said, "Really? Again?"

My weight dropped to dangerous levels while I was sick (well below 100 pounds) and I need to gain so I can fit back into my clothes. Praise God that I can eat again, and I'm sure all of this cheese will do the trick! It's funny, I am usually a sweets person. You'd think it would have been the chocolate fondue that I'd be going crazy for, but it's the Fiesta Cheddar that I can't get out of my mind. Seriously, I make it so good. I wish I could share it with all of you.

Yum!!! Thanks for sharing your find.

And congratulations on being healthy again. I had a weight-loss illness, too. I was dropping about 6 pounds a week for a while before they could find out what was going on. I didn't drop as low as you did either, but I lost over 40 pounds in about 6 weeks. It was pretty brutal. Not a good way to lose the weight, eh? Anyway -- I'm glad you're feeling better!

I have only been to the Melting Pot once, and I really enjoyed it. But they closed the one closest to us, so now we would have to go to Charlotte and that's probably not going to happen. Enjoy your cheese, but make sure you are ummm, careful. Don't eat too much at once or things could get uncomfortable, know what I mean? :rolleyes1
