I cant make up my mind!

I was all set on staying at ASMo for 2 nights 12/9-12/11 and then splurging on character meals. Well, I can get the resort, but no character meals I want! My time frame is set because a) we are cruising for a week first and b) we have tickets to the 12/9 MVMCP.

We are arriving on Sunday, doing MVMCP and then doing MK on Monday. I will have free tickets from my brother (works for ESPN, owned by Disney) so I dont think they are hoppers. So we will just be at MK. Tuesday, we will enjoy whatever resort we are at and then catch a 5pm flight home. This isnt a "true" Disney trip as we cruising beforehand... it was supposed to be but all 4 kids picked the cruise and just 2n at Disney.

So, through Disney or Orbitz, I can get any value. I can also get any mod BUT CSR (my first mod choice). But for deluxe, I can get AKL for $149 with the new code.. can only get WL bunk bed (too expensive I think.. although I heard WL at Christmas is to die for!)... I can book the garden view at CR through AAA (no discounted rooms except tower). And Poly is too expensive. GF is out for us.

We can also do 2 studios at OKW or SSR for $164. My dad is coming so there is 7 of us altogether.

Money is kind of an issue as we just evicted a tenant and lost some extra spending money. But since I cant get any character meals I want, then I do have some more $ than planned as now we will just do TS meals. I am not sure I can justify $259 a night for garden view CR just for the location considering we are only doing 2 nights. But then again, if I am ONLY doing MK.. location is sure handy. AKL at $149 sure is a deal.. should I just take that jump and enjoy a new resort and just bus to MK? We are staying the full night at MVMCP and probably heading to MK shortly after opening.. thats why maybe just do it and go for CR for location

For 2 nghts, MK only, do not think you'll be sorry if you choose CR. Will be so convenient, which will be great for 2 nights. And if it is an AP rate, you'll get the dining card for each room! $75 per room is great for 2 nights!!

Wow you are in a pickle but like someone said to me last week this is a decision that no matter what you choice it will still be great. you will be at disney! I agree that if you can afford it and the money isn't too tight go for CR. you are giong to be at MK and will be right there. can't beat the convience and since you are only there 2 days, the time you woudl be able to spend vs travling to the park might be worth the $$.

WL is gorgeous at christmas and is a nice resort, also close to MK and with Whispering Canyon Cafe there its a cheap alternative to normal table service and really fun too. might be able to save a few $$ on a TS meal by eating there.

IMO no matter what don't do OKW. you will spend more time waiting on buses and busing around the resort than you would if you swam from WL to MK!
