I can't get Disney Dining

to agree that you can split a TS meal even if it's not buffet or even if you are willing to pay a plate charge.

Have they cracked down on this policy? I tried calling three times to see what kind of answers I would get on this and once the CM asked a supervisor and no one will say it's okay to share an ala carte meal whether you are on the dining plan or not. The only exception would be if the child was younger than 3 years old.

The best answer I got is that it might be possible for one person to order an appetizer OOP while the second person would get a meal.

Has anyone done this recently with splitting a meal at a Disney restaurant (excluding buffets, of course)? Which place did you go? I'm really looking for a park restaurant if anyone knows this works anywhere. TIA

1) Disney Dining CMs may not have ever been to WDW.
2) the list if places that'll hassle you about sharing is short
-Via Napoli, Planet Hollywood and maybe Beaches N Cream
3) #2 is only applicable if both people eating are on the dining plan, you cant share with someone not on your plan.

WDW-DINE is never going to give you a definitive answer on any individual restaurant's specific policies, because they do not know what they are. That line exists pretty much solely for managing reservations. The only way to know is to ask at the restaurant.

I'll be prepared to use a credit for each of us, if this gets to be a hassle or I'll choose to go somewhere else like CS..
