to agree that you can split a TS meal even if it's not buffet or even if you are willing to pay a plate charge.
Have they cracked down on this policy? I tried calling three times to see what kind of answers I would get on this and once the CM asked a supervisor and no one will say it's okay to share an ala carte meal whether you are on the dining plan or not. The only exception would be if the child was younger than 3 years old.
The best answer I got is that it might be possible for one person to order an appetizer OOP while the second person would get a meal.
Has anyone done this recently with splitting a meal at a Disney restaurant (excluding buffets, of course)? Which place did you go? I'm really looking for a park restaurant if anyone knows this works anywhere. TIA
