I cannot do this Zone diet! I feel like i'm dying! How can anyone live without carbs? I've never been so cranky in my life! I have no energy and just want to sleep all day long. maybe i should try another kind of diet... :(
 
You are actually eating quite a few carbs, I think. You are probably experiencing a little withdrawal. I am staying as close to 0 carbs as I can for a week, just for this Alex challenge thing.

Okay, now listen to me, <b>you can do this</b>. I know you can. Believe in yourself, we all believe in you.

Go have a glass of water and take a walk or something to get your mind off it.

Let me share something that might help encourage you. Beanie started the Atkins plan which is less than 20 grams of carbs every day for two weeks and lost 11 pounds her first week.

I lost 5 pounds following the same plan the first week.

Stick with your plan, sweetie. You will be seeing results very soon and you will feel much better in about 4 days. Honest.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first few days of a carb free diet is always the hardest! I went through the same thing, but it gets easier every day and you will soon have NO CRAVING for carbs- I promise. Just hang in there. Get out of the house! Or just keep posting and reading on this boards. Sit here all day if you have to - we'll help you get through this! I posted a very similar thread to this 2 weeks ago! I have NO Craving for carbs anymore. And I feel so much better then I did. My blood sugar is under control for the first time since I was diagnosed with diabetes and I am feeling very good, about myself and physically. Cranky is alla part of the withdrawl..... It's normal! DON"T GIVE UP- YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Don't give up. We know you can do it. Just try to stick it out. Once everything is out of your system you will feel better.

Your are STRONGER than your addiction to carbs....!!!! I KNOW IT!!!

GREAT things are accomplished by people with I CAN attitudes!!
HOW did the PATRIOTS win the SUPERBOWL????....Because they NEVER GAVE UP!!!! NEITHER should you....You have a TEAM behind you and that is US!!!!

Do this for yourself...everyone else is right...GET UP and do something....read the boards...drink CRystal light..(it is sweet so it helps me sometimes)...Take a walk...wash your car...before you know it ...tomorrow will be here and it will be a new day...!!!

I'm hanging in there. I'll be honest with you guys, I had a potato. But, I also went outside and raked leaves for over an hour. I'm really trying hard, and really want to lose this weight. I'm having an apple right now (i almost NEVER eat fruit!) so I guess I'm heading (very slowly) in the right direction. Thanks alot for all your help, good wishes and everything! you guys are the coolest bunch of losers around!!!!!
 
I'm glad it is going better for you -- YOU CAN DO IT! For a real apple treat -- sprinkle it with a little cinnamin and splenda mix!:D

Good job for sticking to you plan.....But a side note...I was soooo adicted to carbs and sugar that I new that Induction wouldn't work for me right away...I've spent three weeks getting to Induction...First, week I cut back drastically...had aweful withdrawls...Really tired, headache...the next week I tried I little harder...dropped my carb intake to about 20 grams....by the end of 2 weeks I had lost 5 lbs....The next week I was sick with the flu and carbed up again...so after easter I decided to do Induction...3 days and no carb days over 20gm....So, if cool turkey isn't working try the step down approach it has seemed to work for me....No headaches this week , my craving are lower...and I drink tons of water...that has been my key....

Have you tried a zone bar? they are pretty good - my favorite is fudge graham and strawberry yogurt. I still by them - until I figured the WW pts for one! Anyhow, they may help you feel like you're eating some carbs!

Find yourself a low-carb bread. Aunt Millie's 5 grain Light bread is good on the zone - you can have two pieces and still be within the zone meal. Maybe a sandwich??

Do you have low carb crackers? Don't deny yourself - find products that stay within your new plan!

I would give it a shot for two weeks before writing it off! We are all here for you!

You're doing a great job! Sjticking with it during the rough times is over half the battle. I've been on Atkins induction for 3 days. The first day, I craved a banana and felt like I had a really bad hangover. I had to ask my sweet daughter to whisper when she talked to me because it felt like she was clanging metal buckets in my head. LOL. Third day is almost over and my sugar is now in the normal range and I'm feeling much better!

Hang in there! We can do this!
