Urgh...

I'm driving myself, Jack, our friends, and a very kind point DVC renter mad trying to decide on our main honeymoon stay.

We have 5 nights at AKL, then 3 GF, then 10 to fil, finishing with 3 at BLT.

So I'm very certain it'll be of benefit us to be in te EPCOT area, which means Boardwalk Villas or Beach Club villas.

And so the trouble begins!

Both look fab!

BW is closer to DHS (our favourite park) and if we can get a BW view room then we'll have an amazing view out over the lake, and across to EPCOT.

BC has Storm Along Bay! And the rooms look a bit nicer IMO.

BW if we don't get the BW view we could have a scary clown of horror view!

BC we could have a trees view.

Why do Disney give me options?

What would you all do?

Beach Club appeals to me I think, nice stroll to epcot, stormalong bay, and its not a massive walk over to the Boardwalk is it?

Both options would be nice tho :)

::yes::

It is wonderfully close to International Gateway.

Beach Club always seems posher! And you have the added advantage of access to Stormalong Bay.

I can't really help though, as have stayed at neither... at the moment. Ironically, our September vacation is a split stay - a week at Boardwalk, and a week at Beach Club! :rotfl:

That's what would swing it for me too. A stroll into epcot for a meal, some drinks and illuminations then a stroll back to the villa, sounds perfect :)

:lmao: Maybe that's the best answer!

I know BC seems better on paper, but when I see photos of the Boardwalk, and also the amazing view from the BW view studios I get a lovely honeymoony feeling.

These are from allears, view from BWV:

See, we can do that from BWV too, and the likelihood is we'll do a few closings at DHS, and can walk back without waiting for a bus....

Hmmmm makes it a tougher decision, but also an easier decision as both will be great!
Not that that makes it any easier to decide :lmao:

Haven't stayed at Beach Club (yet) but we absolutely love Boardwalk resort and are staying there again in August. We normally have a standard view (which is usually the river) but I can imagine the Boardwalk views are awesome. Stormalong Bay looks great, I must admit, but unless you are planning to take full advantage then I wouldn't choose Beach Club purely for that fact.

I think what puts me off about SAB is that I know it'll be busy, and as we're just the two of us, so we tend to get in the pool one at a time so someone can stay with the chairs/books/ipods. I imagine we'd spend more time at the quiet pool. Which we'll also be doing at BWV to avoid the aforementioned clown of horror!

We did a couple of sessions of pool hopping last year at BWV, mainly for the clown horror! While we didn't go in the quiet pool, we did walk past it a few times. It's just outside Community Hall. The first time we went by, there was no one in there. Second time, there was a mum and dad with their baby (under 1yr) and no one else. Third time, there was just a family - mum, dad, two boys in the water, gran and grandad on the chairs.

It's a reasonably large pool for a quiet one, and never that busy, at least not when we've been past. There certainly wouldn't be any need for one of you to stay out the water to watch things - you could both easily get in. If you're worried, just grab a towel from the poolside, put it over everything and no one will know! As long as you're not about to go scuba diving and stay under the water for hours at a time, you can watch your stuff safely from inside the pool!

Thanks :) This is why we like a quiet pool :) With Storm Along Bay there's the chance to be a long way from your chair, which is why we probably wouldn't spend much time there.

Just re-read your post and saw that you are renting points so, if you don't get a Boardwalk View, you could always can the idea of Preferred View and go for Standard view - less points, less cost. You do know that Boardwalk View and Preferred View are separate booking categories, don't you?

We choose the bw over the beach club, well dh and ds did! I am not keen on the decor tho it's a bit floral for me! The bw is lovely in the evenings and the location is fab!

Right so this is what I'm thinking at the moment!

1st Choice - BWV Boardwalk View

2nd Choice - BCV - I'll request pool view - I'm worried with BCV we could miss out on a balcony?

3rd Choice - BWV Preferred view and I'll request Village Green and then on check in I'll double check it's not clown view!
