We just went to WDW in October, and figured it would be several years before we went back. DH just found out he will be going to Orlando for a business trip. Hotel and transportation (we will rent a minivan) will be paid for, so it looks like the kids and I are going to go along! MIL says she will come too and help me out with the kids during the day while DH is at his conference. I'll only have to pay for two park tickets (for myself and DS) because DD is only 15 months and DH will not be going to the parks with us.

They are putting us up at the Grosvenor, which is in the Downtown Disney area. Does anyone know if this is considered an actual Disney resort? It says "official Disney resort" on the hotel's website, but I don't see it listed on the WDW website as one of their resorts. I wonder if we will get privileges of resort guests.

Though the DTD are considered on Disney property, the only one which gets the on-site benefits is the Hilton. You will have free transportation to the parks but that's about it. No Early entry I'm afraid.... but it might not be too busy that time so you should be ok for crowds!

Yay! So happy for you! Two trips are always better than one, I say!

Unfortunately as already mentioned, you will not have access to early entry, but we never use it anyway. Our kids are late sleepers...

Have a fantastic time! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Oooh! Oooh! Is his conference at the convention center by any chance? I was just at a conference there a few weeks ago, and they sell DISCOUNT Disney tickets at a booth in the main lobby. You have to show your convention badge, and can only buy four tickets, but they have 2-3 day hopper passes. I have a sheet with all the prices, etc. around somewhere.

Edit: Another caveat: the first day of my conference was a Sunday, and the booth was not open that day.
