I can't believe JN is closing :(

How long could it take them to retheme a ride like this?...I understand the BTF to Simpsons conversion was a major project...this ride is just a video projected on a screen with new accents put on each "car".....If it was all ready to go, I can't see it taking it more than a weekend or a week at most....why does it take so long.

Leave JN open until they are completely ready for the switch. Close it up on for a week and reopen.

They have to paint the entire outside of the soundstage, change the space shuttle preshow room, redo the queue line, replace the cars, replace the other accents around the screen, redo the gift shop, and completely sync the new video to the cars. It will take a bit of time..

My sons (ages 22 and 17) always enjoyed this ride because it featured all of the Nick cartoons that they grew up watching. I was watching the cartoons with them so I liked the ride as well - especially the Chicken Dance.

I was very disappointed to hear that they were replacing Jimmy Neutron with Despicable Me...until I saw the movie! I love the movie and I love those Minions

We will be visiting US/IoA Sept 1st - 4th. I have not had the heart to tell the boys that the ride is closing. I hope they can ride it once more before it closes.

Have they permanently closed Jimmy Neutron? If not, when is scheduled to close for good?

According to Screamscape, JN will be closing for good on the 18th of August. I've planned to spend that day at IOA, but I'm going to try and go over to Universal later in the day to have one last ride on JN.

I wonder if they'll give the ride a good send off, if they do, I'm sure to have pictures

We got to ride JN on Tuesday the 16th... our first time and we loved it! Sad to see it go but we like Despicable Me, too, so we'll hopefully love the new ride. Glad we got to experience JN once, at least!

The Nick store doesn't exist anymore and won't. The meet and greets will be moved to the kiddie area of the park over near ET.

I really didn't like JN and am glad its closing, I did like HB but am interested in what DM will be - another simulator ride? I don't do so well with this type of ride!
