I can't believe I've done this!

OK...here's the picture. Myself DH, DD11 and DD9 are leaving for WDW TOMORROW and I haven't packed a thing! It is our 3rd trip this year and I know it's not a big deal, whatever clothes we bring will be fine. But still, I leave in 24 hours and the only thing I've done is pull the suitcases out. Am I nuts? On the bright side this is the first time that my house in complete order from top to bottom before leaving. I also have my own business and there are no loose ends there either.

I am a compulsive overplanner (tickets, PS, etc.) so I think it's funny that I haven't done any packing. Anyone else ever wait til the last minute to pack? Any suggestions on what to NOT forget?

We're the same way this year havent done a thing but ps' and tics. but i'm more worried about where to park at the home airport than anything trying to find a good deal that won't make me pay an extra hundred on parking

Right there with you AmyM. We are self employed too, and when we went in July everything was done down the the house being in complete order, and no loose ends in the business part. 12 am. there we are packing our cloths and trying to think about what not to forget . It was funny, we live in FL so the drive is only 6 1/2 hours away. About 3 am my husband said "Why don't we just put the kids in the back and let them sleep, I ready to go and wide awake." We finally went to bed and caught a few hours sleep. Good Luck you will be fine. I always feel like I can't pack until everything else is done anyway.

on our trip this past feb i couldn't pack until the morning of our trip. ouf flight was at 10:30, and i was packing at 6AM. I had the Norwalk Virus so i was doubled over in pain most of the previous night. luckily i was over the virus just in time to get in the car for the trip. its one of those 24/48 hour things.
my girlfriend offered to help me pack, but i had her engagement ring that i needed to pack. i had gone 3 months without her finding it, and i wasn't gonna blow it with a day left.

We're last minute packers too. I'm usually the one packing just hours before departure. Ironically for our last trip I was ready and packed 3 days early. I was so thrown off course those last 24 hrs because for the first time I didn't have anything to do.

If you can make a list that might help you. I forgot so many things in October when I was still packing stuff when I was getting the car packed as well. Forgot Pal Mickey, forgot sun screen, aloe vera, etc.

I too am a last minute packer. The only time it ever came back to bite me was the day I got married. We had spent so much time doing last minute wedding stuff that neither DH nor I had any clean clothes to pack the night before the wedding. We pooled our clothes together and headed to the Laundromat, because we never would have gotten them washed at home. After the wedding, we made it all the way to a local steakhouse to eat dinner, before passing out. Fortunately, our flight didn't leave until the next day. Since then, I make sure everything I may want to take is clean and hanging in the closet, but still don't pack it until the night before we leave. I think if I packed ahead of time, I'd constantly worry about what I was forgetting. You should be fine, obviously we've all managed to get there with at least a few clothes to wear. I do usually try to get my list made a couple days prior. Have a great trip!

I'm leaving, Tuesday @2:00pm, and haven't started packing. Although, my house is a complete mess because I have piles of clothers, everywhere. I have to finish, tomorrow, because I have to go to work on Monday and we're going to have to pack the car Tuesday morning.

I don't usually pack clothes until the last minute. To me that's the easy part. It seems like you got all the detail stuff done ahead of time. Packing the clothes doesn't take that much effort. With this being your third trip just this year, I'm sure you're an expert at knowing what to pack

Well, you are not alone! We leave Monday morning and I haven't done anything. We were scrambling around today buying parkhopper passes and other essentials. We just sold our house, so we are trying to tie up those loose ends before Monday. I decided to have a small family party for my daughter's birthday tomorrow. I'm a Real Estate Appraiser and I still have 2 appraisals to finish by tomorrow. Not to mention, I told the kids that Santa was coming early to give us some gifts for our Disney trip and now I have to wrap those tonight too. So packing, well that's last on my list. I think I need this vacation. The funny thing is, we decided to fly this time so we weren't so exhausted when we arrived. Now I'm going to be exhausted from staying up so late to pack on Sunday night. You just can't win. Have fun everybody.

I'm a last minute packer. I think it's fun! I usually leave early in the morning, so I spend the night before packing (I mean, who can sleep when you're going to Disney the next day?). Makes it seem like the trip is starting a day early in my sick mind.
