Okay fellow Dis'ers, I need your help

IN Feb 2012, my DW and I will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversay. We had been talking about lots of different options on taking a special trip, so I threw out the idea of going to WDW, just the 2 of us, and trying all the amazing romantic things we have never been able to do with our kids in tow. To my total surprise, she LOVED the idea!
So here's the deal...

Give me some recommendations. Get your "romantic mojo" going and let's think up some cool encounters.

Let's say we're staying for 4 days and for each day we need
1) a romantic signature meal
2) a relaxing moment (cruise, massage, etc)
3) One big surprise for the day!

We can go to the parks, but we don't have to for that day either. It's all about my little chiquita and romance

Can't wait to see what you guys can come up with :yay:

I'm thinking big picture here...

Each of the four days should include a fun but fairly easy scavenger hunt. Maybe day one's hunt ends at your favorite spot in the parks or the attraction that means the most to both of you. Or for a fun and less serious night (there will be enough of that in the nights to follow) go see Yehaa Bob. Very fun. :)

Day two ends with a great romantic dinner. I'm thinking V&A, Bistro de Paris, or Cali Grill.

Day three ends with a boat rental with some bubbly watching wishes. pixiedust:

And saving the best for last...she thinks evening four is ending at your favorite resort with a well thought gift that is small in value but big in meaning, but after the tears and hugs, you take her by the hand and walk the 100 or so yards to the beach to find an officiant ready to renew your vows. And of course your words make her melt because you've had 14 months to work on them!!!

Sorry I didn't stick your your specific question format, but hey...

Nice mix pittsburghmarc.... some fun, some simple, some new memories.

Keep em coming folks :cool1:

In addition to the wonderful suggestion you've already gotten, I'll add some specific romantic things we like:
  • Dinner at V&A would have to be on the list for a very special anniversary like this one.
  • A wishes fireworks cruise
  • Wandering around World Showcase hand-in-hand oblivious of all the other people. Get something from the bakery in France and watch Illuminations.
  • Dinner at Bistro de Paris
  • Sneaking a kiss on the elevator
  • Watching the lights come up around seven seas lagoon from the shore of the Poly in the evening

Okay here are a few ideas:

Fireworks Cruise
Massages at Grand Floridian Spa
Carriage Ride through Fort Wilderness

I like the renewal of vows but if you don't want to do that another idea is dinner at one of the upscale restaurants and for dessert do the white chocolate slipper with an anniversary band in it. We saw a young man propose to his girlfriend at dinner at the Castle this way. I think a romantic dinner at V&A or Jiko, whatever you guys really like, finished off this way is nice. I'm hoping for an anniversary band for our 25th. Only 3-1/2 years to go! LOL!

That is too cool! I had already talked to a jeweler about a ring for her... she really wants a "mother" ring rather than an anniversary band. That is an awesome idea, thanks!

Glad to help. A Mother's Ring at that time would be a good idea. It was really neat when we saw this at Cinderella's Royal Table. It was preplanned (of course) and they had arranged for a photopass photographer to be there to take pictures of the occasion. It was our last full day at WDW and I actually cried when I saw the whole event. It was kind of magical. Our daughter was horrified that I cried (tears leaking, not sobbing! LOL!) and said "you don't even know those people!". :confused3

Good luck with all your planning.

For our twenty fifth last year, I set up two very special events, one was a surprise and one was something we had talked about.

The one we had talked about was a Photo Session at the Grand Floridian.

We had not had professional photos taken of ourselves as a couple since our wedding day, This was a great experience and we ended up with not only a new "couple" photo but some nice individual shots too.

The surprise was a special event and vow renewal that I coordinated with Gifts of a Lifetime.

Without going into all the details, the event was something we will never forget. If you google Gifts of a Lifetime you will get an idea of what they can do.

Good luck in your plans!
