I Can't Believe I Invited My MIL -I'm BAAACK! And determiend to finish this thing!

march 16-23, 2010.... Spring Break! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! in all my years, I hav eonly visited in early November and early February... ie, non-busy times. I am 50% scared to death and 50% completely non-fazed. It depends when you ask me.

SO I have loved your TR and as someone whose life sometimes gets in the way of spending time on the Dis- I am glad to see I am not the only one and because of you I now feel the need to
1. Go to Disney- soon
2. Read Jordan's Pre trip and TR
3. read Hucifer's pre trip and TR and
4. Tell you, your children are beautiful!! You have made me laugh many times over the last few weeks so Thank you and I hope your March trip is wonderful and you fill us in on what your Children's picks were :)

Thanks, Rockin!! You, well, rock! But you knew that, didn't you?

I definitely recommend both Jordy's and Huci's TRs. However, Jordan's following is becoming cult-like, so reading his TRs take a serious time commitment. Well worth it, though.

I do plan to give you all some details from our March trip. I am not planning to do a full scale TR (we all know it wouldn't be finished until 2014), but I'll be putting some details up right here. I'm also going to give some real time updates during the trip on my Facebook page, so if anyone wants to hit me up on Facebook, send me a PM!

I have officially joined the CULT of Jordy...and I am gonna need a whole LOT of kool aid with something stronger in it to get through all of it WOW, I will be reading forever...I hope this doesn't put me behind at work...not that I would be Dissing at work  no no, not me ;)

Yay for being moved in and having Uverse! I'm so stinkin' jealous. I have a friend 4 blocks over that has it yet at&t keeps telling me we're not in a service area! Makes no sense!

Can't wait to hear about any PTR/TR stuff for your March trip! I hope you guys have a fabulous time. It'll be here before you know it!

Sent you a pm for a Facebook add! :)

How are the kids liking their new school??

I PAID OFF OUR MARCH TRIP TODAY!!!

Today was the payment deadline, so that must mean we are 45 days out... OMG! Now I just need to get the taxes done so we can pay off the trip.... hahaha. Actually, that wasn't a joke.

You know what I really need for this trip? A new camera. I have a big honkin' DSLR, but you know what? I don't think I am going to bring it. Bcause this trip is all about the kids, I don't see myself setting up a bunch of artsy shots this time around. And that camera is bulky. And heavy as hell. One time I dropped it on the top of my foot and I couldn't walk for 6 days.

So I need a small, but quality, point and shoot. Any recs??

I also need to buy a backpack for DH because he promised to carry everything this time. Yay! I am planning on carrying only the following: KTTW, cc, lip gloss, iPhone, and money. OH, and that tiny camera I am going to buy. So I am going to get a tiny bag to strap across my body. I am so excited to not have to feel like a pack mule.

45 MORE DAYS!

I have a Nikon Coolpix S570. It is a 12MP point and shoot and has lots of great features. I really like it so far. It costs around $200. For about $300 Best Buy has a really cool Sony and for $400 they have a really awesome Sony. Don't remember the model numbers, but I was amazed when I saw them.

Serro: I was looking at the Coolpix... How do you like the indoor pics??? Does it have image stablilizer? Does it do that goofy face recognition thing?? I had not considered a Sony, but maybe I"ll check into those... About $300 is my limit, though. After what I paid for the DSLR :scared1: I think DH would poop a brick if I tried to spend more than 300 bones on another camera!!

It does have Electronic Vibration Reduction, but it doesn't function under most situations. You have to have it set on a slow shutter speed with low light sensitivity... and other stuff I really don't understand. It has a blink warning and a smile timer. You can set it to automatically take the picture when the face in focus smiles. I mainly got it for the Disney trip and have just started using it alot.

:dumbo:I put the title of this post in all caps as fair warning to anyone who in completely uninterested in my upcoming March trip. And if that applies to you, I don't blame you. My life is so hectic that I have had trouble summoning up interest in this trip myself.

Ok, true confession time is over.

So... The other day I got my ME info in the mail. I am pretty sure that ME is the acronymn for Magical Express, right? Well, anywho, I got the pretty yellow tags and called to update my flight info. Delta has changed the flight times and numbers 4-5 times since I booked the flights in November. By the way, did I eer tell you that we got ALL FOUR tickets for free???? Score! I booked mine and the two kiddos using our credit card miles and DH booked his using his Delta FFmiles. What can I say? He flies a lot for work (always to very far away places such as Japan, Sweden or Greece, etc.) and I spend a lot of money on our cc! Haha! Just kidding.

OK, so my next step was to plot out which park we'd be visiting on which day. I always use touringplans.com for this and I have not been disappointed yet. And since we are actually going during a busy time of year for a change I definitely wanted ole TP's input on which park we should visit on which day... Here is the breakdown:

Tuesday, March 16: Arrive at 12:27, MK
Wednesday, March 17: EP
Thursday: DHS
Friday: MK
Saturday: EP
Sunday: AK (and a braves/Cardinals baseball game at WWofSports)
Monday: MK

That is 7 full days of park fun, folks. Now, I am sure we will have plenty of open-till-close days, but we can take it as slow as we want, really. In all our trips we have still not "seen it all" but we are fine with that and we go frequently enough that no one feels the need to run around like maniacs all the time. We'll visit DTD in there at some point, and I really want to go over and visit the Boardwalk on one of our EP days.

Of course, if anyone has any suggestions I am quite receptive... You might say I am all :dumbo: EARS!! get it????

We are doing the QSDDP this time around. We did it in February when I dragged my entire family along for dance championships (I was 35 weeks prego and couldn't face it alone) and found we liked it more than we thought we would. Such a carefree, fancy-footed feeling. We'll eat when we feel like it and not before!! Mwahahahaha! Now, for a full-on week long trip I would have been happy with some TS meals, but the kiddos could care less and this trip is about them. We are adding in a few OOP character meals here and there... Chef Mickey's for breakfast Friday morning and then also for dinner the night before we leave. This is my kids' fave character meal... DD is like, so totally OVER the princesses and they just like the classic gang, baby. Fine with me.This is THEIR trip. I plan to go back to doing exactly what I want and family-be-darned on our NEXT trip... Which will more than likely take place November 2012.

Ugh. It has been more than a decade since I last went a year without at least one trip to WDW. But now that I am retired from pom coaching (can I get a woot?) and we no longer live 6 hours away (can I get a boo hiss) and we have a new young'n (can I get an awwwwww...) the enxt trip will have to wait awhile.

Cheers!

Sure that's what they all say until you are so ready to go that you figure out a way:rolleyes:

I saw your link to my response at Gellybean's TR and started reading your report that started back in 2007. It might take me awhile to catch up, but I can do it!!
I'm sorry you had such a shock moving down to Texas.
I'm a true Texan and love living in Austin.
I'm glad AT&T has treated you well and you were able to make it back to the forums.
:flower3: Again, I'm a little late, but Welcome to Texas!!

Janet

Thanks for the welcome!! texas has been nothing but good to us... We are enjoying it, but we had a bumpy road finding where we wanted to settle in, but we've got it all figured out now!!! I am sure it won't be long before we ditch our Carolina Girl T-shirts, Gamecock beer koozies and Nothing is Finer bumper stickers and begin wearing those shirts that say we aren't native Texans, but we got here as fast as we could!:)
