I Can't Believe I Invited My MIL -I'm BAAACK! And determiend to finish this thing!

Hmmmm.....It's Educational for the kiddies??

I know what you mean. If it was up to me I would have said EXTRA DAY AT DISNEY, fo' sure! But DH, who is not as fanatical as his wife and offsprings :scared1: wants to go there. And we got some awesome deals on the tixs so I can't say no. What I keep telling is that it is educational and I think I have convinced myself.:rotfl:

Educational? Is that the best you can do? :lmao: :rotfl:

JK! Of course that is a selling point. Ok, ok....we'll give up a day with the Mouse for one with a whale...You sold me!

Love the pre-trip! Can you let a Northern girl know what BC powder is? :lmao:

Only the Pure-D best headache remedy ever!! You just pour the powder straight from the little packet onto your tongue. Then you take a slug of Co-Cola. Within 10 minutes you are right as rain. Guar-ran-teed.

I have to honest, though....It tastes like crap.

But what a hangover cure!! Amen and Hallelujah!

Sea World has pretty manatees, and for fun you can watch them twirl and poop. I so wish I was kidding, but that's totally going to be the highlight for your boy. :)

So...this BC powder, is the Coke essential? Or just a personal preference? I'm fascinated by this.

I love Sea World. Been 3 times. Last time was last Jan. Make sure that you go to the Clyde and Seamore show. Get there early because 1 it fills up and 2 there is some pre-show entertainment that shouldn't be missed.

And due me a favor. If your kids want to feed the sting rays, seals or dolphins spend the $5 buck and let them. You just spent thousands on this trip don't cheap out at Sea World.

Get a plan together before you go because the shows are all over the park and the schedule is such that you can't see shows back to back. Each show is about 30 minutes long. Oh and Journey to Atlantis (ride) is kickin'.

If anyone wants more info just PM me. I have extra park maps if anyone needs one for planning.

I am another Sea World lover. I love all the fishies! I love the shark area the best and the penguins the least. All the show are great too. I say if you have the free passes GO FOR IT!

The Co-Cola shooter following the powder is sort of an unwritten rule. Most people will swear the carbonation makes the powder work faster. But keep in mind, BC Powder, while hihgly effective, takes nasty. So who wouldn't want a shooter of Co-Cola afterwards?

Or a shooter of tequila....Depending upon where you are in your headache process, of course....

Oh no. Now I starting to freak out...NO, not over the $5. That I can handle. But I have not done ONE IOTA of planning for my Sea World trip, aside from finding the address so we can plug it into our GPS when we leave the resort in the morning. Oh boy. I better get on this.

All right, all right. You all have collectively convinced me....

Now I am off to find a Sea World Touring Plan!!

Welcome, chick!! We are so happy to have another member of our posse!! We are a crazy group, and we're havin' a great time! Right, girls? Oh, (ahem) and guy? Can't forget our token male!! That would be Jordan - he is sort of like our mascot. And for some true hilarity, head yourself on over to our Jordy's little ole PTR... All kinds of madness occuring regularly there as well.

Well, I am sure we all spent about 3 minutes insanely jealous of you for living 30 minutes from The happiest Place on Earth. Then we remember the heat, the traffic, the rain, and the humidity. Oh, and the traffic. Not to mention the traffic. South Carolina is nice....Yes, indeed we do have the heat and certainly the humidity. But we get it a little easier in the Fall and Winter months (I am using those terms loosely, of course). And being 6 hours away from WDW is not too terribly awful. But ok, I am still a teensy bit jealous. How many times a year do you go?

What is this fall & winter you speak of?:confused3 Everybody else is pulling out their winter gear & we're still wearing bathing suits. It has been unseasonably hot this month. We went to MK a couple weeks ago & the humidity was awful! Like over 100 degrees awful. My DS who can sweat sitting still was drenched the whole day, including that night. It never did cool off. We were gonna go to AK this past Fri since there wasn't any school but I got caught up in cleaning furniture (yes, I know, would rather be riding the tram around the parking lot at Disney than any household chore) but it was just as well because it was awfully hot that day too. We had just a couple nice days last week. Didn't last long...:sad2:

In the past we've only gone to WDW once or twice a year. Mostly MK. We've only been to AK once since it opened & the kids were too young to do anything. However I have just taken acquisition of the season passes which will allow me & my family to jaunt over there whenever we feel like it. I'm seriously excited about this. I bought a new camera & everything! We'll be attending MNSSHP on Nov 2. Our first ever! Including the MIL, not DH. He'll be working to pay for the passes.;)

Thanks for the welcome. You too Jordy.:hippie: I just read installment #12 (or 13) about your bagallini & have to say that I just purchased a brand new $5 "waist pack" from Wally World yesterday. The one I was using is circa 1989 & is thin as paper. I figured it was time to upgrade. It is just the right size for my new camera & has some extra pockets for stuffing crap into. I'm a big fan of crap stuffing also. I'm also a big fan of traveling light. Can't wait to hear more!:surfweb:

OOhhh....Season passes.... Now my jealousy is really kicked up a notch.

But you know, now that I think of it, only being able to visit The World once a year or so really makes it something special to look forward to, plan, and dream about...

OK, I am as full of crap as one of the many pockets in my brainwash-Baggallini. That is of course just a bunch on shinola those of us non-locals tell ourselves to make ourselves feel better.... sniff..sniff..

Heather~

So sorry I'm late....wish I had gotten here sooner. I just found your tip report and read through it all. You sound a lot like me. Your report is very entertaining and I can't wait to hear more. My DH is also a lot like Donald and that is who is on his shirt ( something I wouldn't dare do except for at Disney also....must be the brainwashing, lol) I thought it was really neat when I noticed you said you will be at MK on Tuesday, November 6th. That is the same day we have designated as MK day. Anyway, I don't want to take up your time and I really should have been in bed awhile ago (DH fell asleep on couch upstairs waiting for me and youngest DS fell asleep on my lap while I sat here) all because I couldn't quit reading your TR. This site really becomes an obsession. Hope to talk to you soon, can't wait for the next update...and pictures!!

Thanks for supporting my addiction. ;)

I am your dealer, and you are my junkie. I take care of you.

HI Tracy!!! Glad you are along for this long, strange trip! And by the way, your boys in your avatar are so handsome!! Looks like you need to change your username though, huh?? Did you add one more to the mix?? Another "him?"

Wow - we will be there at the same time!! Now you know what we look like, so be on the lookout for us. If you see a tall redheaded chick with crazy curly hair strangling, 50-something brunette, you'll know you've found us! :lmao: Ok, ok..I am going to try to be good and not inflict any bodily injury on my MIL during this trip.
:rolleyes1

Thank you for the compliment on my boys. Your children are adorable. I did add another him and I've been wanting to change my user name but can't figure out how to. Hoefully everyone will know who I am still when I do. I will be on the lookout for you. I think it would be really neat if we saw you Maybe then my DH would see there actually is a crazy DISer world out there, lol.(he thinks I'm on here way too much, lol) I will try and send you a pic of us so you know what we look like too. Good luck on not inflicting pain on your MIL. I love mine also but I don't know how I'd do on a vacation with her.

Ok so I've never added a picture on this site and don't know how. I kmow it has something to do with photobucket right?! If someone could instruct me I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Jiminy'sGirl: I'm here, I'm here, I'm here. :yay: :yay: :yay:

Woo hoo!! I just served you up a Pepsi over on Desia's thread.... You can sip it while you read thru the insanity over here....

Yes, you need a photobucket account. Now, I taught Kandi to do this, and if she can do, anyone can (love ya, Kandi! )... OK, go to the photobucket site and open an account. Follow the steps to upload the pictures you want to post. Under each picture there is a URL. Copy it. The come over here and use the Insert Inage button to paste the URL. The post and we'll all see your purdy picture! Easy as pie!

And congrats on your newest little "him!"

Great pre-trip report Heather! I just sat and read the whole thing rather than cleaning my house like I should be doing. The outlaws (yep, we've been on vacation together with them too!) will be staying at our house next week with the rugrats while DH and I take a much needed and anticipated vacation ALONE to see the Main Mouse. Yep, you read correctly, in 7 DAYS we will be at Disney!!! I should add that I just started planning this trip at the beginning of October so I'm very, very far behind on everything!

For DH's birthday I got him tickets to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal (I know, I know :confused3 but whatever it takes to get him there, right?) Of course, I also added a couple days at Disney for me. I am the best wife in the world for planning this little "Minnie" vacation, right? I deserve something, don't I? We're only going to be there for 3 days, but we'll be ALONE (read, no kids--we're not counting those other 100,000 or so people that will also be at Disney) and together! We're doing HHN, MNSSHP, all 4 parks and lots of "nap:rolleyes1 " time.

We're actually leaving the day before you arrive. We're staying at CSR or I'd offer to "leave the light on for you" at the Motel 6.

Can't wait to read more about your planning and preparations!! (but, I gotta get cleaning before the outlaws arrive!)

Well, howdy, Mommy P!! Glad you've joined our little krewe....We sho are havin' fun!!!

I am getting jealous of all you peeps taking these adult-only trips... I am thinking that may have to happen next year...Actually, DH (Donald) and I are taking few trips soon....Next Spring we are going to Shanghai (he is speaking at a medical conference), and we are going to spend a few days at a spa up in North Carolina in January... But WDW for COuples is so great!! My ex-BF and I actually went to WDW with another couple for Spring Break my Junior year of college. We had a great time!! Now, it was no Padre Island, but drinking around the World sho was fun!!!!

Have a great trip at CSR!!!
