Still waiting for "the talk"

My father passed away a few months ago so this is the first holiday season without him. We live 400 miles away from my family and have only had a chance to visit the cemetary the day he was buried. We have talked about going to visit his grave for Christmas so that I can bring something to place at his stone. I assumed we were going Christmas Eve before we went to my mom's house. And what comes out of DH's mouth.....well, the Giants are playing that afternoon, you can drop me off at my aunt's so I can watch the game and come back and pick me up later! My mouth fell open and I looked at him and said, I can't believe you just said that! {He immediately turned to my dad's picture and apologized, but geez, I still can't believe he said that!}
