We have stayed at a different resort every time we've gone to WDW. It is part of the fun for us, and we've yet to have a bad experience. We have 7 in our family and are kind of addicted to 2br villas. Last trip we stayed at SSR and loved it, but we really wanted to try BRV this time. I made a reservation a couple of months ago (end of July trip) and hoped for a discount. When they came out this week, I was really disappointed and decided to switch to OKW because it was so much cheaper, yet roomier.
Now I'm having regrets. DH convinced me to try to switch back to BRV, but they're gone for our dates. One came available last night while I was stalking the website, and in the time it took for me to ask him if he was serious, it was gone.
I like the idea of saving some money to splurge elsewhere. I like the idea of the spaciousness of OKW. I like how bright and open it is. I'm really concerned about the size of the resort, and the fact that the cool themed pools are EVERYTHING to my 11 and 9-year-olds and we may not be anywhere near one at OKW. I'm also concerned about hiking up and down stairs with a stroller and a sweaty preschooler every day. I like the idea of being close to MK because we have PH for the first time. I loved everything about SSR except that the "living room" area was so tight for 7 people, and that little love seat was horrible. I am all over the place and need some input!
OKW? SSR? Keep trying to BRV???
