And I need to do it soon considering my dates! This is a quick 3 full days trip (we're staying 4 nights so we have 4 days of credits. The last CS Credit we're using for breakfast on the day of departure), but here are my plans so far:

Friday:
Chef Mickey's (Table Service 1) 8:50am ADR
Magic Kingdom Half Day
MGM Half Day
Backlot Express (Counter Service 1)
Fantasmic

Saturday:
Animal Kingdom
Pizzafari (Counter Service 2)
Animal Kingdom
Jammin' Jungle Parade 4:00pm?
Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show 5:15pm or 8:00? (Table Service 2&3)
Magic Kingdom Wishes

Sun:
Epcot
Sunshine Seasons (Counter Service 3)
MGM by Boat
Epcot (World Showcase)
Coral Reef (Table Service 4) 6:20pm ADR
Illuminations

My issue is this. I am hearing mixed reviews about the Poly Dinner Show, but I want to do something different and special for this trip. Not to mention both show times would be a problem if we want to see both the AK Parade & Wishes. So what do I do? I thought about Ohana's, but I'm hearing that their food isn't that great. (I don't know, we haven't eaten there) Not to mention that the dinner show is 2 TS Credits. But the point is to do something memorable and special so if it will be fun and we will have a great time then it is totally worth it. If it won't be, I think I could find a better way to use the 2 TS credits. For the Sat. dinner, I'd like to eat somewhere around MK/MK Monorail Resorts so we can get to the fireworks quickly. If I didn't do the Dinner Show that would leave an extra TS credit, which I would use to replace Backlot Express probably - but where to eat? Should I just leave everything the way it is? We're not really super picky we just want to have fun!

I am just needing some help. We have a few set places we like to eat at when we go to WDW and we haven't really ventured to any of these other restaurants. The only two I am set on are Chef Mickey's & Coral Reef.

Because this is a quick trip, I just want it to be magical. :goodvibes

Thankyou so much!!

By magical, do you want to see the characters for lunch?

If so, book the Norway Pavillion for the Princesses lunch buffet. Food is okay, but our daughter loved seeing all the Princesses (excpet for Cinderella who you can only see at her castle).

Magic Kindgom - the castle for lunch or breakfast

Or the Crystal Palace for lunch or breakfast with the Poo Characters.

I have also heard mixed reviews about the Polynesisan Review and the Hop de doo.

I agree - the Polynesian show isn't that great (the show is fine, it's the food I didn't care for). O'hana is about the same as far as the food goes. They are both considered "family style" - where there is a set menu and they keep refilling your plates. Don't get me wrong, I love the Polynesian hotel (in fact we'll be there in July) just not these 2 "restaurants".

If you want to see Wishes in MK, why not eat there? Crystal Palace is great (character dinner) and you can always eat dinner at the castle (expensive). Another "special" place is the California Grill at the Contemporary. Actually, my favorite restaurant is Boma at the AK Lodge. Since you'll be at AK that day you may want to continue your "theme" thru dinner and take the bus to the lodge, have dinner (at either Boma or Jiko - both excellent) and take the bus back to MK for Wishes.

Have fun.

Thanks guys! I think I've figured it out. Thankyou so much for the Boma idea.. I think it has really nice theming. We'll substitute the Backlot Express for Sci-Fi which we like just because of the atmosphere. :goodvibes

Are the waiters at Boma fun?

The waiters at Boma are really nice but they don't do anything special. What's really neat about this restaurant is that the chefs are all behind the buffet tables and you can ask them about any of the food or seasonings/spices in the food. If you go, don't forget to sample the "zebras" (chocolate/vanilla mousse tarts) - delicious. After dinner you can walk along the savannah and see alot of different animals (if they're grazing at the time). You'll also probably notice that they don't serve straws in any of the restaurants at AKL - that's because of the animals.

Enjoy!
