I Can See Epcot From Here! ~ A November Trip and Dining Report ~

Just found your TR yesterday and have spent the last 2 days reading it! We just switched from Kidani to BWV for our June trip and I've been a little worried about the switch. Everyone LOVED Kidani SO much on our March 2010 trip that I'm afraid they won't like BW as much!! I know the rooms themselves (DVC villas, that is) are "better" at Kidani (3 bathrooms as opposed to 2, etc.) but I think the LOCATION of BW will MORE than make up for it! I just hope everyone agrees with me! Reading your TR, though, is making me feel a lot better about my decision to switch! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to read more! popcorn::

Great update! We have never been to TSI! We always mean to get over there, but we never do.
Enjoy the rest of your week!:goodvibes

Thanks Lauren! :goodvibes

I don't think there would be too much to interest your family of girls on TSI!

I hope you are enjoying your week too. I know it's hard to get back to school after the long break!

Welcome! :)

I'm glad the TR has been helpful to you!

I hope you and your family like the BW as much as we did! The location is fabulous. :cloud9:

Well, if you didn't find the fort on the island, then you need to go back! We didn't find it the first two or three times we went to the island either. If you'll take the path to your left and continue to go left, you'll see a bridge that will take you to the fort. There's animatronic people, horses and chickens. You can shoot rifles at Big Thunder Mountain from one of the forts too.

Well crap! I knew I had heard about riffles and stuff and thought the kids would enjoy that. Nope, we never saw any of that. Maybe we will be taking a trip back over there this summer. . .

Thanks for the info Lisa! :)

Great picture of you 2 on your balcony, you look beatiful!
The opening at MK looked fun with all the Christmas decorations!
Our kids loved playing at TSI in the caves & at the fort. You will have to go back & find the fort!

Thank you Amy! :goodvibes

I can't believe we missed all that. :upsidedow We were pretty much just wandering around confused. :confused3:rotfl:

Those were great pictures from your MK day! :thumbsup2 That was so lucky to do most of the Fantasyland attractions with little or no wait. It's too bad about all the construction going on. I know they have to be doing something somewhere almost all the time, but you hate to see all those cranes and walled-off areas.

That was such a cute pic of you and your DH on the balcony! Such a cute couple!

About the TSI fort: we've been to TSI a couple of times, but I guess we missed the fort, too. :confused3 At first I might have thought we saw the fort, but when Lisa mentioned animatronic people and animals plus rifles, I knew we didn't. When you first said you probably wouldn't do TSI every trip, the first thing I thought was you might want to skip the crowded raft ride in August. Then a few posts down, you said the same thing. Probably a little too close for comfort!

I missed the dang fort too.:confused3 Must be a hidden gem!!!!

I'm stealing a raft in September so I don't have to ride with stinky people.

I wonder if Captain Jack would accompany me????????pirate:

I pass on Big Thunder Mt right along with DS(9) I rode it once that was enough :scared1:

I am trying to remember Tom Sawyer Island, I seem to recall going there many many years ago.....Is there a rope bridge? I recall a rope bridge and DS:littleangel: running across while I was on it scareing me half to death:laughing: I do not recall a fort but then I swear sometimes my memory is totally gone :rotfl:

My boys love TSI, the fort is definitely the most fun. I found a TSI scavenger hunt here on the DIS that I printed out and you had to find different things, it was fun!

All caught up on your report ! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Great news on your split stay! I think you will love the Poly! Wish we could stay there !

We were discussing TSI. We have never done it... not even as kids... i don;t know if we'll make it over or not.

I'm here reading through! I love hearing about it, I was supposed to go in December but I had to cancel, I am rebooking for late august, our dates will overlap! Can't wait to hear more! popcorn::

I've been to WDW 10 times and have never been to TSI. I just have no desire to check it out whatsoever. I've also never been to the Swiss Family Treehouse. Again, it has never been on my list. I like looking at other people's pics of both of these things, but it's just not for me.

We LOVE BTMRR! It was hard for me to sit out on that this past trip, but I know I'll have plenty more times to ride it in the future.

Thanks Teri! :goodvibes It was a good & productive morning at MK. But yes, could have done without so many construction walls at once. :upsidedow

Yeah, the raft ride is not that pleasant. There's no roof for shade and they pack the people on there. I can't imagine what it would feel like on a hot day.

Glad to hear I am not alone in my TSI ignorance!! :rotfl:

Stinky people. :rotfl2: My thoughts exactly. Not looking forward to that. I haven't had to deal with that since we used to go in May. Jan & Nov don't seem to make people as stinky. :confused3:lmao:

You don't like BTMRR??? :scared1: I love that ride! Too bad you weren't there with us. You could have stayed with DS9! :rotfl: I think DH would have liked to ride it.

Yes, we did cross a rope bridge or two on TSI. I do remember that! At least we didn't totally miss everything!

All of our trips, we've never been to TSI either. I've wanted to the last few trips, but I guess since the que is not right there in front of us, I forget. I'm going to make a point to go over with Keaton while Andy and Drew do Thunder Mtn RR. I'll have to make a point to look for the fort so we don't miss it either!

Dang! I wish we would have known to look for the fort!! Sounds like your boys have a lot of fun there!

Thanks, we are very excited about this trip!! :yay:

Welcome! :)

I'm sorry you had to cancel your December trip. I hope you are enjoying the TR. We will probably cross paths in August!

You just may have to add those things one day with a little boy on the way!!! ::yes::

We did the Treehouse once and it was pretty neat. Just not an every time thing for us.

I bet it was hard to sit things out on your trip. But yes, soon enough you will be back on everything!!

Sounds like I'm not the only one who planned to go to TSI and then forgot about it, on more than one occasion! :rotfl: They really need to make the entrance stand out more or something. :confused3 Yes, definitely find that elusive fort! :thumbsup2

Anything that resembles a roller coaster , you might get me on it once but never ever again :rotfl:

One Big Chicken here
