I Can See Epcot From Here! ~ A November Trip and Dining Report ~

Just added my ticker and wanted to check it out!
I love that we always know we'll be back each year, so we can take it easy and not feel like we have to do everything!

Shelly - Excellent photos the last few days. Definitely lots of construction going on over at MK. It will look amazing after it is all done I am sure. There is so much construction at DCA now, there are walls up everywhere now. They just started yesterday on the redo of the entrance to the park. This is what it looks like after 2 days of construction:

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:
I just keep telling myself - it is all for the good of the parks and our future fun! :rotfl:

Thanks Sea! :goodvibes

Yikes!! :scared1:

I know it is all for our future enjoyment, BUT dang it is just so much at once!

I read somewhere that there was some kind of construction or refurbishment was going on in every land in MK the last two months. WOW!

Love the OL video, almost as good as being there :goodvibes

Nice to see the low crowds at MK, I had planned last minute to go there on that Wednesday, You and I were destined to meet until I had to cancel :sad2:

I love fantasyland, I love MK next to Epcot it is my favorite place it just makes you forget your not a kid anymore :yay:

I do hate all the construction going on, it just takes away from the whole expierence, at least for me. I have to wonder how bad it will be when we go this year.............

Glad you liked the OL video! :santa:

Too bad you weren't at MK that Wednesday. It was a great day. We love MK on Wednesdays, it's never busy! :goodvibes

I wonder what it will all look like when we are there next too. . . It will be interesting for sure!

Touring Plans has projected crowd level for 2011 as of now and I know these will change but my new dates are all 1.2. & 3 with one 4 not bad if the weather cooperates (my main concern) I did notice the crowd levels were estimated a bit higher for our original dates at the end of October. Speaking of which I am seeing a lot of talk about a pin# that is 40% off deluxes and is good for most of 2011, people are reporting not getting a email or postcard but when they call it is attached to their names, I am thinking of calling to see if I am lucky, I figure I could add another day maybe with 40% off and DH would never know :rotfl:

I just need to know soon, I started a list of where we want to eat, just need the when dates :)

We were there for the same opening ceremony at MK. I just have been to the right of you because I have a perfect almost-straight-on picture of the Family of the Day. The mom makes it into one of your pics -- pink shirt.

Wow, those are some great numbers!! ::yes:: I hope they don't change! I wonder what my numbers are. . .

I don't expect my trip to be too crowded either, I'm more concerned about the weather as well. :scared:

Lat time I called I didn't have the 40% off. . . I should probably check again I guess!

I love this TR! :thumbsup2
Can't wait for more updates! :goodvibes

Welcome! :goodvibes So glad you are enjoying the TR. Another update will be coming soon!

That's so neat!! :goodvibes It was a great day to be at MK!

After lunch we were headed to Frontierland. Up first was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Well, after DS9 got the fool scared out of him on RNRC the day before, he was not up for BTMRR. :sad2: So just DS11 and I went. I think we waited about 10-15 minutes.

It was great as always! Next up was something we had never done before – Tom Sawyer Island.

Pictures from the raft ride over to TSI.

Jodi (JoBird) and I had been texting all week. I decided to give her a call while we were resting on TSI, but sadly she didn't answer!

I have to say, I thought TSI was just okay. :confused3 I guess I thought it was going to be a little more fun. The kids enjoyed it, but I'm not sure it's something they will ask to do every time.

Here are the kids TSI pics ~

Up Next: More MK – Hall of Presidents, Haunted Mansion, and Space Mountain

Awwwwww, Tom Sawyers Island. Fun. I like to rest right there where you guys were. It's a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle.

And I know--- I didn't hear the phone and had been waiting on your call for days!:lmao:
It was fun to hear the message though once I got it.

The boys took good pics! They are quite the photographers.

TSI is not somewhere we go every time either- it's a good time filler when you don't know what else to do.:thumbsup2

Great update!!:goodvibes

In four trips, I have never seen TSI. Sad, huh? I guess it's not something that jumps out as super fun and worth taking the time for. Maybe I'll add it for our next trip, just so we can say we have done it. :) Where is the queue to get on the raft?

Just started reading your report. Sounds like it was a awesome tries. Love all the pictures.

BTMRR is now my kids' favorite! We went to TSI for the first time in July. Our 6th trip. I doubt we'll be spending much time there in the future. With our short 4 -5 day trips, we don't have time to waste!

TSI was fun. Just not super fun I guess. :upsidedow

Yeah, I couldn't believe you said to call and then you had the nerve to not answer the phone!!!:rotfl:

I don't even know what I said in that message. I'm sure I rambled on about a bunch of stuff! :hyper:

I think the boys got better pics of TSI than I did!

Well, that was our 6th trip to WDW and our first trip to TSI. :confused3 Honestly I had planned to do it the last 2 trips and just forgot about it!

The queue for the raft is right across form Big Thunder Mtn. It's kind of hidden though. If you weren't looking for it I don't think you would even know it is there.

Nice update! Did you not find the fort on Tom Sawyer Island? I didn't see it in your pictures.

Thanks Lisa!

Hmm. . . Since I don't know what you are talking about I am going to say that we didn't find it!! :confused3:rotfl:

I love BTMRR too! Especially when there's not a long wait for it!

I don't imagine we will be heading over to TSI this summer. That raft trip over was hot & crowded. I can't imagine what it would feel like in real heat. :scared:

Great update! We have never been to TSI! We always mean to get over there, but we never do.
Enjoy the rest of your week!:goodvibes
