I Can See Epcot From Here! ~ A November Trip and Dining Report ~

I really love the MVMCP updates and pics! You have some great family pictures here! The Santa hats just add to the cuteness and make the pictures even better. The castle looks gorgeous all lit up. At least the cold weather made it seem Christmasy. (Is that an actual word?) Your boys sure looked like they were enjoying the dance party! But are we surprised at that? Nah....;)

And you have a new profile pic, don't you? Please don't tell me you've had it for months. I'll really start to worry about myself.

Hope everyone is ready for Christmas! We're up in the 70's here again, so it's not beginning to look a lot like Christmas down here. :sad1:

Thanks for all the info on Pick a Pearl from your readers!

Thanks Teri! :goodvibes Yes, Christmasy is absolutely a word! :thumbsup2:rotfl:

The boys sure did enjoy the dance party! ::yes:: Not surprising! We didn't stay as long as we would have liked to though, it was so hot in there! They must have had the heat cranked since it was so cold out. :upsidedow

Yep, that's a new pic. It just dawned on me the other night that the one I had was 2 trips old. I had to update!

70's for Christmas! :scared1:
Enjoy, I hope you have lots of sunshine!

Oh I love the Parade pics the floats are so lovely and the gingerbread men, raindeer, toy soldiers, so exciting !!! I heard that it is easier to get a spot over by Liberty Sq but that the snow only falls on Main St ? Tell your DS they are lucky I am not their mom if they think waiting 30 mins is bad or they might have been waiting up to 2 hours on Main St for the Parade, I made my family endure such torture for the Easter Parade back when they use to telecast it on Easter Sunday live we did that 2x :lmao:

I did not notice your new "DIS" pic until T Bird mentioned it  I am blind in one eye and can not see in the other ----nice pic btw :thumbsup2

Yes the parade was very cool. Probably my favorite part of the party!

 I will tell the boys how lucky they are!! They just don't care all that much about the parades anymore, so they have no interest in waiting. But once they saw it I know they were happy they waited. Especially DS9!

That's right, the snow was only on Main Street. We got to enjoy the snow later, but not during the parade.

It certainly looks like your boys had a good time at the dance party. How great that you just happened upon it.

The parade pictures are great. I think my favorite float is the one with Goofy on it. So bright and colorful! We've seen parades from Liberty Square and Frontierland and have always found a good viewing spot.

We just happened to be walking past Cosmic Ray's and saw the party. That was lucky! :cool1:

I think Goofy's float might be my favorite too. It's just so fun looking! :goodvibes

That happened to us too. We wandered in to find a washroom and found a party instead. Got some great pictures, especially of the DJ who was rocking out up on the stage. I hear a lot of people talk about how MVMCP isn't worth it, but I think it is just for random stuff like that.

Great parade pics! Those are such elaborate floats - I agree with the Goofy float being the best. :thumbsup2

I loved the video, too. :thumbsup2 It's so cute seeing your little DS follow his big brother's lead. He has some big dancing shoes to fill! They should have been playing "I Whip my Hair (or hat ;)) Back and Forth"

Yes, all the little random stuff like that is what makes MVMCP so special! :santa:

Thanks! :) The parade was great!

I was surprised at DS9 dancing. He usually doesn't get into it like DS11, especially if I am video taping. He doesn't like to be filmed. :confused3

DS11 couldn't seem to keep his hat on his head while dancing. He seemed to feel the need to keep throwing it in the air.:rotfl:

Great pix and video today Shelly! I would like to do that event sometime - how were the ride lines? Did they have multiple cookie stations? :goodvibes

Shelly - Great pics and cute video..... The boys are so cute..... :)

Great video of the dance party, your DS(11) is gonna be the party animal of the family it seems, he will surely be getting the girls attention in a couple of years.

Just read through your whole thread and it makes me so excited for my trip next winter.

Count me in! /late

Miss me?????:goodvibes

I'm sitting in MY robe-------------:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: (which happens to be a Christmas robe, NOT a Spa robe :rolleyes1) at my Mom's house and trying to catch up.

I had to go way the heck back to start reading--- it's been forever and you've gotten so far in this report- I can't believe it.

I haven't finished reading- actually I am only up to the MVMCP part of the report where you had thanked Sheila for the tix on the napkin.(Very cute, btw-)
and I had to stop to say that reading about the party is really getting me into the Christmas spirit!:santa:

So going way back to comment on a few things- sorry it's late---
I love the boys' reactions to going to MVMCP- so cute! They really looked surprised and happy. So much fun to do something for them that they didn't know about.
Your pick a pearl looked like it was so much fun! Definitely going to be on the plans for Sept for me and the girls. Will have to order the necklaces for us very soon in preparation for it. I think it will be one of their Tink gifts.

August- it's a very fine time to go to Disney I think.;) Especially the latter part of August.

Glad your DS11 enjoyed his moment of rock stardom. How funny that kid is!:goodvibes

I like Jungle cruise at night- but it is good also in the day. Now if you ever go to Universal- you have to ride Jaws at night. Creepy.

Okay back to reading more... I'll be back.

The video is hysterical!!!! They are having such a wonderful time- my kids would rather eat worms than do something as ostentatious as dance.
In PUBLIC.
oh the horror.
:lmao:

The parades at the parties I think, are the best part. I know the one @ MNSSHP is so wonderful. And 30 minutes I'm sure seemed like a lifetime to wait but I know they were happy to wait after seeing it.

Great update! And now hopefully I can stay up to date with you for the next few days at least.:surfweb:

Finally all caught up again...great updates. :upsidedow You and the boys took a lot of great pics. Wondering around the Boardwalk looks like fun. I would like to do that sometime. DH and DS would love the ESPN store. Where you able to explore it at night?

Your MVMCP pics are beautiful. Did you use one of the family shots on a Christmas card? Waiting for a parade (or anything) is always hard. Looks like it was a great spot for viewing. The dance party looks like a ton of fun.:lmao:

Great pix and video today Shelly! I would like to do that event sometime - how were the ride lines? Did they have multiple cookie stations? :goodvibes

Thanks Sea! :goodvibes The ride lines were pretty much non-existent. Except for maybe Peter Pan and Dumbo, I kind of remember seeing crowds there. Yes, there were probably 3-4 cookie stations I think.

I hope you are staying safe in the storms over there!!
Shelly - Great pics and cute video..... The boys are so cute..... :)

Thanks Mari! :)

Yep, he's a party animal alright!! :upsidedow He's always been a wild one. I'm not looking forward to his teen years. :scared1::rotfl:

Well hello there long lost stranger  :rotfl:

So glad you are in your robe. :lmao: Hope you are getting all caught up and enjoying the TR!

I'm happy the party pics could get you in the Christmas spirit! :santa:

I'll have to find that ebay seller that has the necklaces for you! :goodvibes

Yes, DS11 really enjoyed his 15 seconds of fame. :lmao:

Glad you liked the video!! Wait til you see DS11's concert video! :rotfl2:

I was surprised DS9 let loose like that and danced in public. That is so not his thing!

The parade was awesome. I'm really glad we got to see it.

The BW is great, you should definitely check it out. It's a lot of fun at night. I will have some night pictures coming up soon.

We used several of the party pics for Christmas cards. I couldn't decide on just one!

After the parade DS9 stopped for a quick purchase on a cart.

We were on our way to do a ride or two before Holiday Wishes. DS9 and I wanted to ride the Haunted Mansion, but DS11 said he wasn't riding it at night! :confused3 So we went to Buzzlightyear instead!

After that we thought we should probably head to Main Street and wait on Holiday Wishes to begin. It was getting so cold. The snow on Main Street felt real!

We ducked in and out of a few stores to try to keep warm, but it was hard!!
Pretty soon it was time! We were on Main Street almost beside Casey's Corner.

Holiday Wishes was very beautiful and we enjoyed it very much. But I missed the music from regular Wishes!

We headed towards the castle and watched a stage show after the fireworks. We couldn't see too much, there was a huge crowd. The kids really couldn't see too much of anything. They were getting tired, so we only stayed a little longer and decided to call it a night.

These pics are from holding my camera up above my head and then a lot of editing!!

We went out to the bus stop to a waiting BWI/Swan/Dolphin bus and were back to the resort shortly and went straight to our room to get warmed up and go to bed!

Up Next: Day 4 – Finally getting to swim in the Luna Park Pool!

Loved the Update and fireworks pictures. I imagine it would seem odd to see the fireworks with Christmas Music. I know for us who live where it gets cold and really snows , the snow on Main St. would not be so much of a thrill but I think for some especially lil ones who have never seen real snow it would be quite a treat being cold just adding to the magic.

Thanks! :goodvibes They did have a great time! :cool1:

Thanks Sheila! :) I tried to capture everything for you!

It was weird seeing the fireworks over the castle with different music. I love the music to Wishes, so I really missed it! But Holiday Wishes was beautiful and I'm glad I got to see it.

Yeah, if there were any locals there that night they got a real treat -- cold and snow!! :santa:
