I can do this...right?

A friend has been posting on my PTR (well its like 100 PTRs all rolled into one :lmao:) step by step what we can expect from where the expo is to info re-parking and plenty of pictures if you're interested there is the link in my signature line his posts start back a few pages...warning there is a LOT of gabbing/planning that goes on over there about all other Dis related stuff ( and not so much Dis related stuff ) jump into the conversation OR disregard and just look for the posts by ED user name SunDial BUT I know its calming me down to see this (his posts start on page 27)

Ruthie

Thanks Ruthie! I'm going to look at all of this info. It will probably help to settle me down as well! :)

YES YOU CAN do it if you're willing to put in the training. The ones who fail (except for an injury or some unusual circumstance during the race) are those that think they can do it without putting in the training. Be smart, train for this event and you will not only finish, but have fun (and get healthier) along the way.

THIS THIS THIS!!! I got a rude awakening this last weekend! My plan was for 11 miles on Sunday. I havent been exactly sticking 100% to my plan.. maybe 50% done with about 40% heart put into the workouts. I did my 11 miles, but had to walk the last mile and a quarter.

So I have totally changed my outlook and demeanor. You CAN DO IT!! Just put in the time and the effort and follow your plan. These plans are out there for a reason, they do work.
:thumbsup2

Can I ask a silly question? Why do they ask you who your favorite princess is when you register? I was just looking at my registration form and wondering :)

no question is silly....color of the bib/number thing don't think the colors have been announced yet but I picked Merida because I was a tomboy & need to be brave & strong like her a real role model for me :)BUT since I am wearing a Pluto theme I also wanted the color I presume it will be a forest green maybe ? to not clash with him :lmao:win-win for me

who did you pick ?

I picked Belle! She's most like me....brunette, bookworm-ish, but doesn't take crap from anyone - even a beast ;) So, will my bib most likely be yellow then? Is it wrong to be planning my outfit before I'm even close to making it 13 miles?! :lmao:

Pluto is such a cool idea! How are you creating the theme?

I don't want to do a tutu...it's just not me, so I need a running skirt. Will they actually announce the bib colors beforehand?

Planning is what gets us motivated to train I had a tee shirt made up at DTD design a tee when I was going through physical therapy On the front there is a picture of Pluto running I had the words " Work hard and get all paws running" wore it all the time got me motivated on the depressed I can't do this days

I like the sparkle skirts but not the length I am trying to brainstorm with a few people about a few things also want the same "running" pluto appliqued on the skirt I.m leaning toward the black shiny one OR the darker green ..not really sure re- your questions about the bib, I would guess a yellow/gold for you with Belle
