I am so excited for you!!! Everything looks like so much fun!!!

BTW... I've started my PTR for Sept. feel free to join me!

I did go over and read at work today...just did not have a chance to leave a remark...I'll get back over and catch up later!

Ok, so I am trying to pack and it just seems too easy!?!?!?!

What am I forgetting???

It just seems all too quickly thrown together.

Is it simply the more predictable weather? Is it that we are only staying seven nights as compared to around two weeks? Are we just getting to be that efficient at it?

What gives????

Day 2 - April 22, 2010

This is a Morning Extra Magic Hour day. We did not discover the usefulness of the morning hours until our short Forth of July trip where we spent three nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge and only went to the Magic Kingdom on July 2nd. We got so much done in the first two hours and Fantasyland was virtually empty until around 11am...it was not even Extra Magic Hours. We used to be those people who strolled into the parks around 10am or so...not anymore! At least not on purpose.

So, if things go well and the Disney adrenaline is flowing properly, we will be up at 6am. Remember...tenative...rough draft...outline...suggestion...

We will aim for being at the bus stop for Magic Kingdom by 7am. We'll grab three or four pastries (probably to include a cinnamon roll and a crossiant at least) at the Main Street Bakery for three or four snack credits depending on how hungry we are. We will have filled up our mugs at the hotel before boarding the bus. I am guessing at a cost of around $15.00 (if we do four).

We will probably head straight to Fantasyland because that has seemed to be the busiest place to be on our last few trips. We will try to ride/see everything over there and then head to Toontown early. Then make our way around to Tomorrowland. Skye is big enough for Stitch and while Tyler and I did it right after it opened and never felt the need to do it again, Skye wants to do it.

We will probably go to Cosmic Ray's for lunch. We'll order two chicken & rib combos with mashed potatoes and veggies, two carrot cakes, and two waters and an eight piece adult's nuggets with fries, chocolate cake and a large pop. We will have used three adult meals at a cost of about $58.00.

Then we will head around towards Adventureland and then Frontierland. We will want to catch the parade at 3pm hopefully from across from Splash Mountain...that's a great spot!

By around 8pm I'd like to head up Main Street and grab a spot on the curb to watch Spectromagic and Wishes. Either me or Gramy will run into Casey's Corner (which is hopefully around where we will be sitting) and grab dinner. We'll do three hot dogs, three fries, two brownies, cracker jacks, two waters and a large pop. We'll use two adult and one child meals here for a real cash total of around $36.00.

After we eat, I think one of us will run across the street, assuming we get to sit where I'd like to sit, and grab two Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches from the Main Street Bakery/Ice Cream Parlour. We'll use two snack credits for an approximate total of around $9.00.

The park is open until midnight tonight so if we're up to it, we may get to ride some more or else we can head back to Pop for bed. If we actually made it out early this morning I am betting we will be needing bed!

Today we will have used five or six snacks, five adult meals, and one kid's meal...for totals of four or five snacks, ten adult meals and two kid's meals...real cash total of approximately $271.00.

I love how you surprised the kids on Christmas morning! That was such a neat way to do it and the countdown calendar came out great!

Skye looked adorable with her guitar shaped pinata! I hope she had a great birthday!

My nephew was 6 on our last trip and he didn't use a stroller. He is a big ball of energy though :yay:, so I don't know if that counts for anything. I think you made the right decision to do without it. It can be an extra hassle if you don't really need it.

Sorry to hear about your sinus infection. Hopefully that Disney magic will have that cleared up as soon as you arrive. :wizard:

Your first two days plans look great! Yall are so close!!!!

This deserves a little...

That is to exciting for words!!!!

Wow...you went way more into the smileys than I did but thanx...we are soooooooo excited...it seems like forever since we've been back...it's been about a year and a half...can't wait!

Thanx! We've done those calendars for the last 3 or 4 trips and the kids really like being able to track the time in a fun way!

I will have to post some pics from Skye's party when I get them all from everyone who took them...I am really bad at that becasue I am usually not able to stop long enough to take good pictures so I count on my aunts for the good shots!

We were at Great America on Saturday for about seven hours and we had no stroller. She did fine and it was sooo nice to be able to get off the ride and not have to go find the stroller! I think we will be happy with our choice. If we decide we need on eon the longer park days, we can always rent one there...but hopefully, that is not needed!

I am feeling better with the meds the doc gave me but I have had some hives on my right forearm for about two weeks that come and go and now they seem to be spreading to my other arm and my theighs and my bottom...the dos looked at them on my arm and said they should go away and since they were not bothering me to just treat them with hydorcortisone OTC and benedryl when needed but now they are starting to itch in some places and if I am going to be donning a bathing suit (which is bad enough!) I don't want my legs to have big red marks on them!!!! Seems, I cannot win on the health front this tie around...I might call her today and see if there is anything else to do now that they are getting worse...wish me luck!

Day #3 April 23, 2010

On the third day we will probably call for a 7am wake-up call and see what happens. I think we might spend a little while at the pool this morning. That's one thing I can count on...the kids will roll right out of bed and into swim suits it allowed!

Around 10am we will need to be heading to the bus stop though to head to Epcot. Epcot is open from 9am - midnight. We will head straight beck to Morocco for our 11:30am lunch at Restaurant Marakesh. Grammy has never been there but the kids and I fell in love with it on our first trip with the deluxe dining plan two trips ago and re-visited on the trip after that. The food is really good (although we probably do not eat the most adventurous items on the menu), the building is beautiful inside, the service has been great and the price is actually not too bad. The kids would eat their weight in bread (for Skye that is not that impressive but for Tyler it is!). Every time we have been there we have had one of the first lunch seatings so I don't know if the bread is served hot and steaming all day long, but when we have been there it has been! I figure we could get by with ordering an appetizer of Seafood Bastilla, then an order of chicken shish-kabob and a beef one...they come with rice...and then the kids will share a kid's chicken tenders and fries. They will also share some rice and some of the chicken kabob...and maybe even some of the beef. That with two pops, tax and tip should bring us to around $60.00 out of pocket. We're not too keen on the desserts there and we do have snack credits to snack around the World with so we won't miss it.

Then we'll tour World Showcase most likely...or if we had enough time to stop by for a Fast Pass for Soarin' and/or Test Track we may head back there. This will be Skye's first time being big enough to ride those rides!

We then have a 6:45 ADR for Skye's favorite restaurant...Little Knee....or Tutto Italia as it is known to the rest of us. This was also discovered on our first Deluxe Dining trip. The jury was out on it after that visit but we gave it another try on the last trip becasue the kids loved it and it became one of the favorites in our house. It is on the more expensive side without a dining plan to pay for it though but this is Skye's birthday dinner (although she will wear her birthday button all week) so we're going for it! I think we will order the appetizer of kid's mozzarella sticks (the kids are mozzarella stick connoisseurs) and these are really good! We'll see how hungry we are but I am thinking we will order the Cannelloni (my favorite!) and an adult Spaghetti and Meatballs. If the kids are really hungry we will order them a kid's spaghetti to share but it may not be needed. We will also get a cannoli...because while I am no where near a connoisseur of the stuff, in fact, I have really not had it very much in the real world, I believe this cannoli to be the best I have ever tasted and if that is not what cannoli is supposed to taste like, it should be! With all of that and two pops, tax, and tip I figure the cost will be around $86.00 (and that is with the extra kid's meal) out of pocket...and Grammy might be too frugal on this one but it will be worth every penny in the end.

I am hoping to find a good seat for Illuminations after dinner and then explore whatever else is open during Evening Extra Magic Hours...for as long as we want to....then head back for bed.

Day #4 April 24, 2010

This day is where I start hearing rumors of rain. And as of now, I am not hearing time of day or intensity. So our plans are possibly tenative.

Our other issue is that the hours for this evening at Disney's Hollywood Studios have been extrnded and another Famtasmic! show has been added.

As it stands now, the Studio is open from 8am - 10pm. 8am - 9am is Extra Magic Hours...and we are planning to be there. So we will be waking up around 6am to be at the bus stop by 7:15am to get to the Studio by 8am. We will quickly arrive at Toy Story Mania and grab fast passes and then jump in the stand-by line to ride. Grammy and Pa had been in the World last February (their first time since the ride opened) and then never made it on becasue the lines were too long and by the time they arrived all the fast passes were gone. We love this ride...along with eighty million other people apparently! Then we'll head back up to experience our firt stop at Starring Rolls for three or four pastries for breakfast. We'll use three or four snack credits for a total of approximately $15.00.

This is the day that Muppets goes down so there will be no Muppets for us. But Skye is looking forward to her first ride on Star Tours. We will have to hit Voyage of the Little Mermaid and The Great Movie Ride. We'd like to see a show of Idol but not sure on the timing. We love the Indiana Jones show and Beauty and the Beast. The kids might still want to see Playhouse Disney, although we were very disappointed in the change. We like the Animation attraction so we will probably hang out there some. Grammy has been trying to get Tyler to agree to Tower of Terror but so far he's not going fo rit. I think Skye would go if he would...she's big enough now! Grammy is afraid of heights and has never been on it but she said she will go if Tyler goes...so we'll see what happens! No Rockin' Roller Coaster for us becasue Skye is still too little and Tyler is too chicken...but he has been on it once and came off smiling...so maybe he'll find a brave streak!!! Those are probably our inportant things to do...anything else is just a bonus.

At this time we have a 3:45pm ADR for Mama Melrose with a Fantasmic! Dinner Package. I never used to be fond of this. We have done it in the past but found that at the times of the year we usually go we did not need it and could get better seats without it. But since they have cut back on the showings and it is our absolute favorite night time show, we wanted to make sure we saw it. Here is where our probelms come up. First off...rain. So we will be watching the local weather very intently becasue if it looks like it might rain around Fantasmic! time, we will need to cancel the dinner...becasue that is really the only reason we are doing it. I mean we like Mama Melrose but the package will actually cost us a few bucks more than if we bought the same food out of pocket...and Tyler is an adult at 10 years old and would not normally order nor eat all that food so we are really losing out on a lot with the package...expecially if there is a chance of the show being cancelled. And then there is the fact that they added a show that night. With two shows, we might not have to line up quite as early as we initially though with only one show. So do we really need the dinner package? The kids would be just as happy at Pizza Planet. I have been seeing wonderful pictures of sandwiches for lunch at Starring Rolls. And Grammy, would prefer to save money...so, I am leaning towards cancelling Mama Melrose at this point. We have until 24 hours before to cancel so we will probably wait intim the day before to really decide.

If we do go to Mama Melrose, we will pay around $112.00 out of pocket for a ceasar salad, minestrone soup, and tomatoes & mozarella appetizers, Shrimp Pippette, Chicken alla parmesan with spaghetti, a four cheese flatbread, a creme limone, warm chocolate truffle cake, honey hazelnut and ricotta cheesecake, three pops, a kid's penne pasta, fruit salad, ice cream and drink (which out of pocket would cost about $108.00).

If we don't, we will probably have lunch in a couple of different places. I will want Starring Rolls...exact order undecided until we arrive...and Grammy may go for this too...we'll see. This might be something I would pay for out of pocket though becasue the kids will want Pizza Planet and the adult meals there come with salad that they will only eat part of so I could use that as an appetizer...and we could share drinks and desserts (but maybe I'd use a snack credit for one of those wonderful cupcakes I have been looking at pictures for!!!). And then whatever Grammy wants.

This is one of those places that has notoriously bad and few dining choices so other than that we will probably just snack and then grab a late night snack back at Everything Pop if needed...we'll play it by ear though.

...pulled A boarding group for the flight!!!

I was really worried about it becasue of that new Early Bird thing that Southwest has going on where you can pay $10.00 per ticket each way to get earlier boarding. We did not do that (I think it would kind of defeat the purpose of getting cheap flights and I wish it would go away all together!) so I was worried that there would be so many people doing it that we would automatically get later boarding but I guess most people on our flight thought the same way I do...

I'm getting sooooo excited!!!!

Hi!:wave2: I haven't been able to comment much because we just got back from Disney!:yay: But, I wanted to make sure and catch you before you left!

Have a wonderful trip!!!pixiedust:

Hi! Hope you had a great trip!

You were at Pop right? Did you get a newly refurnished room? Anything new or interesting at Pop...it's been a while since we've been back! How were the crowds?

We are getting so excited! People here at work keep mentioning it with that look in their eye...you know, the one becasue you will be gone for the next week and they will still be here :rotfl2: .

Day #5 April 25

We are heading to the Magic Kingdom again today. It is open 9am - 2am!!!!

I will probably set a wake up call for 7am -ish and see what happens. Last night could have been an earlier one (well, compared to the rest anyway!). But we will play it by ear.

Upon entering the Magic Kingdom we will stop at the bakery yet again for three or four pastries using three or four snack credits and totalling around $15.00.

We'll do whatever we did not get to last time or whatever else we want to. We have hopefully already seen the parades so while we love a parade, we won't NEED to see them again.

I am hearing a possibility of rain today in some places too...and lately it seems more likely today and I have heard the "S" word muttered too (that's "storms" in case you were wondering!). I am also hearing it may be mid-day...but then some places don't say that so who knows?!?!?! :confused3
So we'll be ready for anything!

We'll probably grab lunch at Columbia Harbour House and use three adult credits and share it all. I am expecting a total of around $46.00 to have been spent.

Dinner will be at Pinocchio's Village Haus. I am hoping the crowds have died down because I absolutely despise being told where and when to sit at a counter service venue. Now, we are not table hogs and we don't linger any longer than necessary...but I do like to send the kids for a table while I am ordering and then they can get the utensils or condiments or napkins or whatever else it is that we need. That way, we occupy the table even less time. But one of the pulls of Pinocchios is that window looking over Small World for my kids. So we like to seat ourselves when we want to be seated.
We'll probably use three adult credits here too for an approximate total of $45.00.

We will hang out and do whatever we want for as long as we want.

This may be a day we rent a storller...we'll see how Skye is holding up.

This may also be a day that we do something that we never do on purpose. If the rain and storms hold off, and the weather is nice (in the 80s is what I am hearing!) we might take a mid-day break to hang out at the pool. Since the hours are so long (we have never been in the park that late...only at parties have we been in until midnight) and if the crowds are not bad (keep your fingers crossed for us!) and we get a lot of stuff done and if we feel like it we just might do it. It's always an option!

So whenever we feel like we can go no more, we will head back to Pop and to our beds. And we have to keep in mind also that tomorrow could be an early day!

Day # 6 April 26, 2010

Today is our full day of Animal Kingdom. It is open from 8am - 6pm...and 8am - 9am is Extra Magic Hour.

Wake-up call will probably be for 6am...but that may change depending on how late we stayed at the Magic Kingdom the night before.

This is the one specific place Grammy asked to eat...breakfast at Pizzafari. We love Pizzafari but we have not had breakfast there...and we have not been there at all since Skye has been around becasue she has never been inside it. And that is the main draw for us...the place is decorated so neat! It is an animal lover's dream...all the rooms are painted like different habitats and the furniture is cool too. I cannot believe Skye has never been there but we always seem to be somewhere else when it is time to eat. So anyway, two adult, one child and a snack are planned for use here for an approximate total of $30.00.

The safari is high on our list of things to do as is the Nemo Show. I am hoping Tyler gets brave and wants to do Everest but I am not holding my breath. Grammy has her rain poncho ready for Kali River Rapids and she may be needing it becasue this is the other day that I am hearing a possibility of rain/storms. Which would figure becasue we never seem to get enough time at Animal Kingdom and the few times we have really been caught in rain have mostly been here.

Lunch is probably going to be at a couple of places...Flame Tree BBQ and Yak & Yeti. A total of three adult and one kid's credits will be used. The fruit plate at Flame Tree is wonderful and Skye is a fruit nut! SO that will probably be on the menu along with ribs and then something at Yak & Yeti. We have not eaten at the counter service Yak & Yeti but Grammy has I think. We have only eaten at the table service Yak & Yeti and love it so we are expecting it to be great. I am thinking it will be an actual money cost of around $50.00.

We love the parade here so we will want to see that. We usually like to catch it around Tusker House at the beginning and then move on. We'll see how that works out this time around.

We are thinking about grabbing a bus to Coronado Springs after Animal Kingdom for dinner at Pepper Market but I have just seen that there is an updated menu at Allearsnet and it does not sound as beneficial as it used to. But this is one place we have never even set foot into so I'd really like to check it out. No matter where we end up for dinner we have planned to used three adult meals and one chikd's. At the Pepper Market using the old menu I was totalling approximately $72.00 being spent but some of the items we were thinking about were some of the more table service type of foods and they look like they have been removed so this one is up in the air.

After that, we will head back to Pop and relax...which probably means swim...and then ge tto bed at a decent hour for a change!

Day #7 April 27, 2010

This is our repete at Epcot. Epcot is open 8am - 9pm with 8am - 9am being Extra Magic Hour. We will call for a wake-up at 6am again and see how it goes. We won't be so concerned with getting there by 8am unless we were not able to get on Test Track or Soarin' the last time we were here.

We'll grab breakfast at Everything Pop before we head out. We will probably use one adult, one kid's, and two snack credits for breakfast totalling around $21.00.

We'll spend the early part of the day in Future World and lunch at Seasons. We'll do three adult meals and share them for an approximate cash value of $52.00.

Then we'll head back to World Showcase and eat Around the World while touring. I think we'll use a kid's credit at Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the UK becasue they do not have a kid's menu ($13.00). We'll stop in Morocco for a Shawarma Platter to share at Tangierine Cafe with one adult meal credit ($21.00). I have always wanted to hit Yakitori House in Japan but never seem to get there so we will stop there for a Tonosama Combo to share with one adult meal credit ($16.50). The kids will want plain old American food (they're so boring...they might try some of our food but I cannot count on them eating at those places!) so we'll stop at Liberty Inn for an adult chicken nuggets and a PB&J ($21.00). I am interested in Gremany's Sommerfest and a "real" Frankfurter so we'll split that...the kids may sample some here too...never met a hot dog they didn't like! SO this one may be more like a smack ($13.50). And then the final stop on Eating the World Tour will be China for Lotus Blossom Cafe's Shrimp Fried Rice and an Egg Roll (grammy loves shrimp fried rise and I love Egg Rolls so we're good!) and ice cream - don't know which kind I want to try ($15.00). And I am sure there will be snacking along the way. I am reading that one of the old McDonald's stands or other now has Empanadas and the while the kids won't eat them they are dying to order an EM-PAN-ADA (ala Rico) and WA-TA (ala Hannah Montana) and Grammy and I will eat them. I an hoping those are snack credits. We also cannot pass up School Bread in Norway and possibly something in France.

And all of this eating tonight has me reconsidering our Tutto Italia ADRs earlier in the week. If we cancel that meal, we could do half of this eating that night and not be stuffed to the gills tonight! And we'd save around $100.00...which always sounds good...and I am sure Grammy would be happy. We just really loved Little-Knee. I'll need to discuss this with the kids. This is also a night that if we seem to be running out of credits, which we should not be doing as I have it planned but you never know if someone will be more hungry at some point of another...but anyway, this is also the night that if we had to pay for anything out of pocket to save credits for a more expensive meal, we will becasue with all of this eating, we will not necessarily need an entree, dessert and drink at all of them and at most of them we are really in it for the entree...so we could always just pay for that out of pocket.

If we did not see Illuminations the last time we will catch it tonight otherwise we will just do whatever we want.

The kids live making masks but I dont let them color much since they began using Sharpies at the Kidcot stops...I can't stand my kids looking dirty! So we will probably leave with four of them. Last time Tyler did a passport and collected a flag from each country so I don't think he will want to do another. But he is a collector so he will probably come up with something he wants to collect.

This will be a relatively early night too, at least comparitively. We'll head back to Pop and start packing up. There shouldn't be too much to do becasue we use our emnpty suit cases as a hamper for dirty clothes so we'll pretty much be packed up but there will be a few things to do still. And we'll try to get some sleep without having to cry ourselves to sleep becasue it is the last night at Mickey's House!
