and they said i only need to be at logan 2 hours before my flight
that doesnt seem right
usually its 90 min before and its says to add an hour so ....
We are leaving tomorrow at 910am to MCO
so i wanna make sure i get there with enough time

I'm counting on 2 hours, for our flight to TYS through DCA next week. However, if we're late, we simply take a later flight and miss a few hours with my wife's family. If you're late, you miss valuable theme park time. It would make sense to me to be a bit more cautious.

Why do I think missing a few hours in lovely Knoxville TN is not going to devestate Bicker.

On a positive note, the news here in Atlanta yesterday seemed to show the lines getting back to a much more normal level. I would think that folks have gotten this figured out and have thier liquids packed into thier checked luggage.

Late news last night and papers this AM say that O'Hare and Midway were both pretty much normal yesterday, public has adapted to the changes quickly. They are recommending the standard 2 hour pre-departure. Have a great trip, Kelly.

DAN!! Thanks we cant wait to get there. Even my dh chris is excited I think we are all looking forward to it, 10 nights of fun and relaxing Disney magic.

My sister flew out of SYR to Charlotte this morning. They'd also said 2 hours here. So she shows up at 6:10 for an 8:10 flight... and was at the gate by 6:30. I think most people have adjusted to the changes. She said everyone had pretty much followed the new rules and it made security pretty fast.

With the in-laws. Don't forget that part. With the in-laws. :faint:

Conventional wisdom on flyertalk.com is that lines are almost back to normal, if not normal length. In fact, arriving too early can make things worse. At my local airport travellers were arriving 4 hours early; security lines were horrendous, yet 2 hours before the bulk of the flights to the US there were no more arrivals.

Basically, all those early arrivals put the schedule out of whack; people arrived before ticket counters, immigration, and security were even opened, only to stand in line at 4am....

Have a good trip!

You should be fine with 2 hours for jetblue at Logan. I work in Terminal C and the jetblue security lines have been moving very well. As others have said wait times are pretty much "back to normal". Just remember to pay attention when in line in case they call for your flight to come to the front of the line.

Have a great trip!

Great news!! We will be flying Jet Blue on 8/31 on an 8 am flight and dont want to have to wake up any earlier than we have to. :thumbsup2

They can't tell everyone to get to the airport too early. There are 8am flights. If everyone on the 9am and 10am flights show up early, the people trying to get on an 8am flight just get delayed. They're stuck in lines of people who don't need to be there so early. The "earlybirds" are just slowing everyone down.

Two hours for Jet Blue at Logan seems perfect. And be prepared, if everything goes smoothly you'll be at the gate with an hour to spare and nothing to entertain the kids.

We fly out of BOS all the time (my dh works there). Since 9/11 we've always gotten to the airport 2hrs before flight check in, grab some breakfast, walk around, etc..

As previous poster mentioned 2hrs should be fine. We take the 7am out of Logan so we get there at 5am, and leave our house at 4am. (and I wake up at 3am) of course, I have to self medicate w/benardyl the night before...... i'm too excited to sleep :rotfl2:

Hope everyone has a safe flight & a great trip...whereever you are going!

We have a flight on Thursday into DC. I think we will get to the airport 2 hours before our flight, which will be a first for us.

JetBlue has always been our #1 choice...

Wonder if TSA starts banning more carry on stuff (entertainment things) if they will become fully booked on most flights.... gota love the tv's

JetBlue simply doesn't fly to enough cities. We're heading to Knoxville and they don't fly anywhere near there.
