I broke dd's DP umbrella today.

I don't have the guts yet to tell her I accidently closed the car door on the open umbrella and bent the metal base. It is beyond repair. I checked Ebay and there are others, but not the exact same one. I guess I'll just have to 'fess up, but we got it at DL just for her, and I feel horrible about it.

Well, if you really want to replace it, and it's still available, you could call disney merchandising and order another one.

I'm sure you could soften the blow by saying, "The bad news is I broke your umbrella. The good news is that we now have to go back to DL to get you a new one!"

Now that's an idea! When I first told her we were going to pick up our photos from our DL trip she was all excited and thought we were going to fly back to California to get them at DL.
