I have purchased the cd for my daughter's senior pictures and I hope to get some good deals on the larger prints by watching for them online. I've never really needed to order quality wallet photos though. Where is the best place to get them for good quality at a reasonable price? Thanks!

I'd suggest bay photo. It's a professional lab you upload your pics to and they print them off and mail them back to you. Costco is great, but the wallet quality is simply 4 wallets printed on 4x6 paper that you cut out. Plus it's not the best quality of paper if you're wanting high quality photo prints. You can get 104 wallets for only $19.00 at bay photo. The paper is better the quality is better and the price is about the same.

Make sure the company that sold you the cd gave you a copyright release, or else a photo lab won't make reprints for you.

If you want good quality photos, go with mpix.com They are a consumer side of a professional lab and you'll get really good quality photos (as well as pro options on finishing, etc.).

Another great lab at decent prices is AdoramaPix.

Since I had free prints when I signed up to a few places, I sent several of the same images to Adorama, MPix, and just to see what the bad reviews were about, Snapfish. My Adorama prints came out fantastic, exactly as they looked on the computer when I processed them. MPix were great, just the colors were saturated a bit more than what I wanted. Snapfish, well, it looked like I took the photo with a digital camera from the early 90's. I won't even upload any more images to Snapfish for free prints.

I love MPix. Make sure you turn off auto color correct and you should be fine.

Thanks for the great information! Do I need the extra Lustre coating from Mpix?

This. :goodvibes
I am a photographer and when a client purchases files and printing rights, I always direct them to MPIX and tell them to turn off auto color correct. (It's still not as nice as prints from my pro lab, but it's pretty good for a consumer accessible lab.)
As far as the Luster coating, that's really up to you. It is nice for wallets since it protects against fingerprints and they get handled alot . . .

I got my DD's senior pictures from Mpix and was VERY happy with them. I got the Kodak E-surface paper and they were great.

I did get one giant 16x24 print to be mounted for our wall. I got the luster coat on that one. I also had it mounted on the foam core. I then took this to Michaels and had profesionally framed. People think that this is a PAINTING and always ask me about it.

I purchased my son's graduation cd also and got my pictures done at walmart.com. they came out pretty good. I bought the package so I was able to get a bunch of different sizes.

Personally - I would set up an account, and get your images uploaded. The wallets are very reasonably priced, and come in a strip of 4 - and they are sort of die-cut with the rounded corners, and you just need to remove them from the die-cut. (Hope that makes sense - but it was no big deal)

And - the other thing I liked about the wallets from mpix - you can totally edit the crop lines, and for the wallets - see exactly how it is going to work with your photo before you purchase them.

Also - if you "friend" mpix on facebook - you will find out if they have any specials going on. When they have specials - they only last a couple of days. The last good special was 8x10s for $0.99 each. And - shipping is very reasonable as well.

Oh! Nice to know about the specials from Facebook! I was just going to ask about any codes for discounts. Do they do those as well? It seems like Mpix is the way to go! :)

I got my daughter's wedding photos, including 8x10s from MPIX and was very pleased.

M Pix is the place to get senior wallets done .... They are 15 cents a wallet, (if you get more than 11) are die cut so no cutting and are the right size!!! Beware of the 3 x2 wallet size it is not the reg senior Wallet photo we are all used to and would like to give out at graduation.
