I booked Randy, too!

Ha ha. So, in a turn of events, I decided to go against my original decision to stick with Disney's photo services for our intimate wedding. I can thank my DF for that!

And just earlier today I was justifying why I wasn't going to use Randy, even though I loved his photos he took for Maggimus!!

My DF was lurking over my shoulder when I was browsing through Maggimus' pics and he thought they looked so cool. So we talked ourselves into looking into booking Randy. I didn't get my hopes up thinking the guy is so popular . . . but he returned my message that I left him (on New Year's Day nonetheless!) to tell me that his originally scheduled wedding for Feb. 9th had been moved to the summer.

YESS!!!

Now I'm even more excited for our wedding!!!

Great! Congrats on booking him! It looks like a lot of people on this board really like his work! We are considering booking him for our wedding, too! We're deciding between him, Jeff Hawkins, Christopher Patrick, and Disney! Im going to go look at Maggimus' pictures now !! Congrats!

Afinter... I want to be the first to say (even though I have to be a little later in line -- but not by choice) that you have made the absolute best decision... and I cannot wait until you realize that for yourself. Out of your entire wedding day.. you will be pleased with everything.. but you will be estatic about Randy. He is so calm, and warm... and just a kind hearted person. You meet him (and trust me I am shy) and you feel as though you have known him forever! My DH went goo goo for him too. He leaves you with a feeling of knowing that your photos, no matter how you smiled or how many times your DH's eyes are closed (which happened a lot for us).... will look good regaurdless.

I feel like I should be a spokesperson for him or something. Had it not been for this board... I would have never heard of him... and certainly would never have booked.

I spent probably 20 minutes on the phone with Randy tonight, and everyone's right . . . he's very personable, excited, and a helpful person! It's like I've known him forever! Just talking to him got me more excited about our wedding and taking our photos with him!!

Maggimus -- Since you used Randy did you take advantage of the honeymoon portrait package? I don't recall you mentioning it in your TR, unless I've lost my mind!

Does anyone know how that works out with DFTW? Are there any hidden costs or any other essential info I should know about the portrait session? I seem to recall the photos can be taken in any park of your choosing and you can select 10 to 12 pics for an album. Any info would be great!

Why won't January go any faster?!? It's only the end of the first day and I can't wait any longer!!

Haha... trust me, your wedding will be getting there much quicker than you realize!!

I did infact schedule the honeymoon photo shoot with Disney. There are absolutely no hidden costs as long as you do the photo shoot at the MK. If you prefer a different park, it is an additional $50 charge.

My DH and I were scheduled (as we thought) to be there at 10:30 for the shoot at the MK. We showed up and were told that the photographer just left- he thought it was at 10:00. So City Hall phoned him to tell him to come back, he didnt seem to happy. Said it would be about an hour before he could make it back... so DH and I decided that since we had already dont MK in its entirety ... that we would just say forget the honeymoon photo shoot... it wasnt worth taking time out of actual honeymoon. But yes, I did schedule it. In leu of the Mk honeymoon shoot.... if you look back in my TR, DH and I went over to exposition hall and had our own photo shoot (haha). Page 4, post #53 of my TR.

Good Luck-- and i would certainly take advantage of it- you paid for it!!
