i booked last aug/sept the bounce back free dining...

it starts aug 30 which we booked but now we are thinking of starting our vacation on the 26th...

would disney bump the free dining for us starting the 26th or do I need to make another ressie for those additional dates.

If i need another ressie does disney usually leave you in the same room w/o checking out and getting
another room???

they won't extend the free DDP for you. You can book another ressie for those days. When you do, ask that they note your other ressie # as a continuation of your stay. When you check in, mention it again and ask if you could get a room that will accomodate both without having to move. You will have to go to the desk to check "out" and "in" to get your new cards w/the free dining but may not have to actually move. Can't promise but they will try to accomodate you.

I believe that as long as one day falls within the free dining plan that your entire stay will be included. If your start on the 26th and stay thru lets say Sept 1. You should still be able to keep the entire free dining plan. I am going on Sept 26- Oct 1 and I believe the bounce back was only good thru Sept 28? but my entire week will be on the free dining plan.

I would definantly call CRO and see what they can do. We have changed our bounceback and extended...at the end of Sept. several times, and the free dining has always been included for the entire vacation!

I called and because it was a room flyer paper in our room on our last vacation i had to call grand gathering even though we are just a party of 4.

however, they did pass along a promotion which i don't think i am going to do...

you get 40% off the rack rate of your room, pay 39.99 for dining and you must pay for 1 single day base ticket to quilify. boy do I wish i was offered
a pin code.

FYI...We booked the Bounce Back offer last year before we left and booked for Sept. 26-Oct.4 with no problem at all.

I too have adjusted my stay as well as changed resorts and was able to keep my free dining bouce back offer.

it at the end, as long as you arrive on or before the last day. What they won't do is let you start early! We arrived on 9/22 and had Free DDP thru the 28th. They have, at least in the past, given you whatever promo you check in during for the length of your stay. Free DDP starts on the 30th so it is not in affect for a stay beginning the 26th, hence needing 2 separate ressies.

we origainally started the vacation aug 30 (this is the dates that
the promotion said on the flyer) we need to end the trip on sept 3rd
because my kids start school the next day. then our family decided to have a few extra days of vacation so we wanted to start it on aug 26. so I thought since people
can extend the "free dining" at the end of september why not give it to
the people who want to start early??? doesn't make sense??

Nope, if the promo begins on August 30th, then you can't get it before that date. As was mentioned, if you start your vacation on the last date of the promo then you can extend it past that date. I know it seems like it would extend both ways, but it doesn't. With the changes this year of weekends priced separately, each day possibly being different rates depending on which "season" it falls into, I can see the promo only applying to the original dates in the future with no extensions allowed afterward either. BTW, we just returned from a stay with the DDP- another change they've made is with the snacks ( others may already be aware- we weren't). No longer is it "anything under $4.00"- the choices are now limited to certain items. After being rushed at our two TS meals to pay and get outta there the dining plan isn't looking too appealing to us. After having less enjoyable meals and then tipping on top of that just because I can't stand NOT to leave a tip, we aren't seeing the value and benefits. We wouldn't normally eat at many TS locations so dining there just because it's included, plus the tip means that our original budget using CS meals, which is what my family prefers, with perhaps one special TS meal during our entire trip is looking better and better. Room only codes are also looking better and better vs. free dining which is no longer free. We are rethinking our Sept. bounceback trip pros and cons and that for our family's needs, paying room only plus OOP meals might be the WTG. For those that enjoy lots of TS though,it might be a tougher decision. I just hope people do take the time to really think what they want for the way their family personally likes to vacation at WDW since there are choices and something for everyone. For the OP, at least you'll get to have it both ways- a few days before without the DDP where hopefully you'll get a discount on the room itself, then the rest of your vacation with the DDP. It may even be a better plan than having the DDP the entire time.---Kathy

Cheryl- Aww that does stink. But... perhaps... if disney decides to offer the Free dining plan, as it typically does (to the public), maybe the weeks involved will be different (like starting a bit earlier) anything is possible! Keep your eyes open only time can tell!

yeah that sure does stink...we are going anyway the 26 on so i do have 2 different ressies so if the dining or another promo comes up i will change it.
keeping my fingers crossed
