No, I've never been. I'm determined to show my dh how magical disney can be, so I've upgraded from ASMo, to PoR, added the dining plan and planned a trip to Universal (he likes Universal and always wanted to go to IOA). He's always complaining about the drive and he's never stayed on property before. So if anyone has any ideas (low cost, gotta pay for vacation) to make it just a little more magical, please let me know. Its also our anniversary trip.

We loved the HDDR and did our first night at 7:15 show also when we were there 10/8-10/15. We also stayed at POR and loved it too. This was our first trip and we are now thinking when can we go back again!! We had the dinning plan and I had the Disney Visa and earned $165 in rewards. We didn't spend ANY money in Disney and I brought back $40 or my reward dollars. We brought breakfast items to eat in the room and did our CT and TS and never needed anything else. Have a great time.

What did you think of PoR??? Do you think a 34 year old man would like the show??

Well I'm 39 my husband 41 and kids 9,7, & 5 and we all LOVED it!! Of course I thought it was going to be something of a character show so I was totally surprised at what it turned out to be but it was great we thought. It's always hard to predict what someone else will think you know. But I read a lot about it on DIS and was confident that we would enjoy it based on all the other reviews and we did. It's slapstick comedy and singing and dancing it was fun. My 5 year old liked it so much he took his napkin from the show as a souveniuor, the waiter when he saw us trying to get my son to leave it and the hard time we were having said, heck just let him keep it we have more.

Sounds like my DH, LOL, I am constantly trying to get him into the "disney magic", but he just doesn't get it. On our trip 2 weeks ago we stayed at BWV and I had a basket ordered for him from the florist for his b-day. It had all kinds of chocolate, cheese, crackers, wine, 2 mickey wine glasses :earsboy: a cork screw and a stuffed safari mickey mouse. It was so cute!! They also tied balloons to it because it was his b-day. He was so excited when it was delivered to the room., he immediately got into the hot tub (mind you it was 12:30 at night after an 11 hour drive) and he had fun eating his goodies and drinking his wine in the hot tub, it was so funny. You could so something similiar for your anniversary, also this was the first time that we used the babysitting service, kids night out, and we got to go out by ourselves for a nice evening. He loved that. Now I am already planning our next trip, maybe for spring sometime, and he is like..... but we just got back!! He still doesn't get it!! Oh well!!!! I am still going!!!! :cool1:

Hey disneynutbsv,

I am 75 and have been about 5 times to the HDD and loved every minute of it every time. If you enjoy life and like to have fun, this is a wonderful show - you get corn on the table and corn on the stage. Really worth every penny!!

Enjoy!!! Peg and Bob

It's a great show! We have seen it several times. My daughter was 4 when she saw it the first time and we are going next year and she is 18 now. She still wants to see it again. My mom saw it for the first time last year at the age of 79 and loved it. My husband and I have always enjoyed it. It appeals to people of all ages.
