I bet my sons will have a snow day tomorrow.

I was watching the news earlier and they said (about Worcester) "they really got buried here, with 5 or 6 inches of snow". How is that buried? This is New England.
I'm really bummed though that we did only get what they were calling for. I think we got maybe an inch here in NH.

i'm in Western Ma., and we have a snow day. It's been switching back and forth between snow and freezing rain since about 11 last night. I think every school in our area is closed today. I'm glad we didn't go in and then have an early dismissal. Besides the nightmare of having to call every child's emergency contact to make sure there will be someone home when the child gets there, the kids that are regularly parent pick-up usually end up having to wait in the office with a staff member for their ride to make it through the snow and ice. Last year I waited with 2 of my students for 1 1/2 hours past dismissal time because their parents were stuck on the highway.
