I bet a lot of people here won't admit that they play their computer games on the easiest difficulty...

On this topic, I'm curious what games people play. The only game I really play is called Township which I play on my Mac. It's kind of like a Farmville and there's strategy puzzles in there to play to earn credits to do different tasks. I find it's kind of like playing Tetris in that it makes your brain think.

I hate games with timers, so if I'm playing something that gives you the option of playing without it, I go for that.

The only game I play is Legacy Sims, also known as Sims 1. I've played this game for over twenty years, and I belong to a great Sims 1 community of fellow players and people who create for the game. I also create for the game and share my creations with my friends.

Disney Emoji Blitz. With certain groups, the term for easy is called "managing proficiency". So lots of folks talking about making the missions easy there to get through. The developers seem to be evil and want the game to create some impossible tasks. So I do admit I play that one easier. Makes the game much more enjoyable for me as there's other ways to make it challenging than what the developers want the players to do.

I usually play on "Normal" - no need to be extra hard, but not too easy either. I may adjust that depending on how the game is going - some are just ridiculously hard after all.

I usually play on normal and tbh I genuinely don't care what other people think about it. The people that obsess over what difficulty others play video games at are losers.

I play my Freecell on the "random" level. But I'm with Blue Starry.........I don't like timers at all so I never look at how fast I accomplish a game. Even though I think one time I did under 60 seconds... just sayin. :rolleyes1

I have never played a video/computer game! I walked by someone playing one when I was a kid (for context I'm 51) and just watching it made me feel car sick so it wasn't ever something I explored further.

On the flip side, my husband didn't have a video game machine as a kid, so when our boys got one he got into video games. Now its how he decompresses - just 15 or 20 minutes a few times per week is all he plays, and he doesn't play computer games - but he enjoys the video games.

I play Flight Simulator on the easy setting. Still crashing a lot.

Right now I’m playing Zelda: A Link to the past and there’s no easy mode. This is my fifth time playing it through so I wish there was a hard mode.

I've recently gotten into Pokemon Rom Hacks where people create, improve and just plain knock Pokemon based games out of the park. I change difficulty settings based on the game and the challenge I want. I didn't get to play these kinds of things growing up and I'm enjoying the heck out of them now.

I fully admit I play on easy setting because newborns have better gaming skills than I do.

With Zelda games you can make it a "hard mode" by skipping heart peices and other upgrades where possible. A lot of players will place those kinds of limits on their runs to add some challenge.

Ohhhhhh that sounds really challenging. I’ll definitely give it a go. Thanks!

Yeah, some of the best players will try to make it through with the minimum amount of hearts. I think you can do most of it with just the three, though I am not sure if you are forced to take the whole peices from the dungeon bosses. You have to have a certain amount to get hte Master Sword though, which is required, so I think that's like 11. Then don't do any of the fountain upgrades or the tempered sword, plus the 1/2 magic upgrade and you're in for a real challenge. I wouldn't wanna do it personally!

I will often play on an easier mode if it is available. Often I will start on whatever the "normal" setting is, but will lower it if needed. Playing games is about relaxing and having fun for me. If it is too hard and I am getting frustrated then playing the game is not doing what it is supposed to do.

For RPGs I want to be able to focus on the storyline and the lore. For Sims4 I want to just have fun and not be limited (so I play with cheats on). For other games I just don't want to have to try too hard because I am RELAXING.

That sounds really, really hard. I’d never beat the final boss without all the hearts I can get.
