that this is the last Christmas Eve that I will have a houseful of kids who believe that a Jolly Old Man will come leave them a present tonight. I am immensely grateful of the years that came before and the magic in them. I am trying to savor every minute of today/tonight so can look back in years to come and remember how wonderful it has been.

Once one knows, all will know - that's just my kids :goodvibes

I hope my daughter stays asleep during the Santa-ing. She is at the age when I learned via peers (kindergarten) Please baby, saw logs tonight!

This is the first year Santa is not coming to our house. The kids want us to bring up the gifts this afternoon. They are begging. I liked it better last year.

My 12-year old has never told me that she doesn't believe anymore. :lovestruc

And my 9-year old is a former fervent believer who is really beginning to have her doubts. She wants to sleep with me tonight to make sure I'm "not Santa".

I'm very nervous about getting caught.

I like the "don't ask, don't tell" policy!

Oh goodness I hope that my little ones believe for many more years. DH and I were just discussing this last night, and don't want that day to come. Perhaps I should locate the video camera....

I am the oldest of 6, and the first 5 of us are all very close in age. I know it was hard for my parents to keep Santa alive, but they had a very unique approach. As we all got to the age where we began to suspect, Mom and Dad enlisted our help in "being Santa" for the younger kids. It really did help to keep the spirit of Santa alive in our house, and for our youngest sister. She believed in Santa longer than any of us because we all were fervent in our agreement that Santa was Santa.

I STILL believe in Santa. He exists in the hearts of each of us as we make Christmas for others.

Merry Christmas everyone.

This is our first year with no Santa. I'm sad about it and a little happy about it. Happy because I won't be up half the night trying to get everything just right!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Heather

My kids are 20 and 12 but Santa still comes. We still wait for them to fall asleep and then load up the tree. It's magical to wake up to the present laden tree.
Heck, my son and I are tracking Santa via Norad.... :thumbsup2

I know my years are numbered, there have been many questions this year and ds is old enough to really stop by now. I hope I get at least one more year!

I just posted a thread about believing. My son is almost 11 and still believes, so there is hope! I just have to tell a lot of white lies sometimes. Especially about the wrapping paper he saw one year. I told him Santa borrows ours

In our house those that believe- receive! Mine all believe! :thumbsup2

It is kinda bittersweet though. Enjoy it while it lasts. :goodvibes
