I believe the pirate game is specifically designed...

...to keep me from winning!

Check it out. It's a dead on match up between me and another player. Clock is running down, and just when I've made it with a decent score, the darn thing crashes on me! What the ### is up with that?!?

How am I supposed to earn credits if the only games I can play at are the Music Mix game and the "Click on the NPC's" game? Huh? :confused3

I have yet to be able to complete a game in there. I crash every time.
I used to be able to play the Fireworks game, but now it just takes me right back to the lobby and that is if I am lucky. Usually it takes me to the room where everyone is sleeping, the Gallery I think??? Some days I can't even get into the Fireworks Lobby. I get booted straight to the Gallery.
I only go on maybe once a week and do the 20 pt clicks. I wished I could have the fun everyone else seems to be having. Maybe some day I can afford a new computer. This one is only a year and a half old though, so it may be a while.

What are your computer specs like? Ideally for VMK, you need a 1.5 GHz CPU or higher, 256 MB of RAM, 2 GB of HD space, and a DSL connection. The only thing I'm missing on my end is the 1.5 GHz CPU. For that I would need a new computer, and I just don't have the finances for that. Not to mention this computer is working fine at 3 years old.

I have a 2.4 CPU, but only 128 Ram. Maybe I need to give my BIL, the computer genius, a call and see what he can do me with RAM.
Weird thing about the Fireworks is I have 3 pins and won a room, then one day poof, I can play no more.
Forget the Jungle Criuse, all I ever seem to see are puffs of dust and it uses all my gas before taking me to the next room. I have watched it go from 60 some units of gas to 11 between rooms.
I just had a flash of brilliance. (doesn't happen often and I usually forget what it was before I get around to it) My parents went on vacation and we are watching the house and cat. Maybe I need to get the ok from them to try it out on their computer. Of course it will probably frustrate me more if it works. I doubt my dad would let me move back home, nor my DH. My kids would probably care less until they ran out of clean clothes.lol
~sigh~

Someone mentioned (Wynsome, I think) that there was a bug in the pirates game that causes crashes. It happens when you click on the word bubble during a game. :chat: I even know about this and have accidentally clicked on the text bubble a few times, and sure enough it always crashes. If I be careful not to click there, the game seems to work well for me.

well according to your info, I should be outscoring everyone! LOL I must really stink! lol

pirates always crashes for me too. I emailed them about it weeks ago but never heard anything

DH and I recently bought a new iMac and we have a year old iBook. I first found VMK while using the iBook and thought it was neat, hadn't really discovered the games so I didn't know I was missing anything! Well, on the iMac I found Fireworks and played and did surprisingly well after a few tries. Now, if I try to play on the iBook forget it! I get one flawless and then nothing. It's like the computer is delayed a few seconds or something. It's almost as if I have no idea how to play the score is that bad, ha. I don't know the "specs" of both machines right now, but I do know the iMac is way faster, so that is my guess.

I know what you mean, whenever I am doing will the game will crash. Whenever I am losing the game will let me play. I hate it. It always crashes within the first minute. I'm also playing on a brand new computer! :confused3

The bubbles do cause the crash. I crash tested (sorry about the pun) the game today, and, sure enough, everytime I clicked the bubbles, a crash! I haven't tried it on a different computer, so the bubble problem may be related to computer specifications.
